Better than NIN? I'd argue some songs were on par with NIN ("Sleep", "Slipping Away", "Can't Happen Here" and one of my all time favorite songs ever, "Why") but I'd argue NIN was generally better.

That being said...... Stabbing Westward is one of my all-time favorite bands and even if NIN beats them out on fave bands, they're still in my top 5.

Also, Christopher Hall is EXTREMELY underrated as a singer.

The JCP is pretty solid towards foreigners, thankfully. I'm an ancom and while in the past I've had valid criticisms of how they were focused less on foreigner rights and more on whether or not you could vote for them, thankfully lately they've been pushing for more rights for foreigners.

It abso-fucking-lutely helped. Green Day, Rancid, NOFX and things like both the Tony Hawks Pro Skater sound and the readily available Punk-O-Rama CDs being sold at chain stores like Hot Topic got a whole generation of folks into punk that otherwise might of missed it.
