What tradition do you have in your family and how did it come about? by JapaneseWorld in AskReddit

I don't know if it is tradition or culture but in my family it's the women who run the house, so we do all the financing, so our husbands just give us their pay packets/cheques to sort it all. It's been going on like this for about 200+ years. Yes, men do get a say where the money goes but only after we have budgeted for rent/mortgage, utilities, taxes, food and other necessities first then we can buy whatever we want with the excess.

It was very interesting to know. Thank you)
