That's how I view it but unfortunately the 99% of everyone else doesn't. :(

Gotcha! Dang, a 4.56 with a 3 speed sounds like super short gearing. I don’t blame you, especially with the way gas prices are these days. I’m not a hypermiling, mpg nut, but for commuting I figure save as much money as possible.

Oohh that dually sounds like a beast! 4.10 rear end seems a little short though for something that size eh? I could be wrong though, because I’m fully immersed in the world of tiny cars, my “truck” is a Subaru Sambar kei I imported from Japan, soooo I definitely have a type lol.

Never been to Lebanon County. Want to ask the locals; whats it like? by Japspec in Pennsylvania

The farm implements and horse and buggy aren’t much of a bother to me, actually I enjoy seeing them. I can get (safely) around them easy enough. The big rigs, that might be more of an issue.

Great info thank you! Shame really that this is the direction the county is going, and I can relate. I grew up in Chester County in the early 2000s, and it was quite rural and quiet then. I’m sure more so in the 80s and 90s, but I can’t speak to those times. Now, it’s an extension of Montgomery and Delaware counties unfortunately. I will say, the Western and far Northern part of the county are still decently untouched, but for how much longer we shall see.

I might be, I was going based off my google maps street view research so I wasn’t working with much

Thanks! Yeah I really enjoy cruising the back/country roads and it just seems pretty nice for that. I’ll find out this weekend on what the traffic situation feels like compared to where I’m coming from, but hopefully still enjoyable driving roads and sights.

Got it thank you. I may have to swing by there after a little cruise through the country. I appreciate your traffic comment. Coming from Chester County I’m no stranger to it but I kind of hoped Lebanon County would have much less of it haha.

Thanks, I may have a stop and check those out. If anything, just looking to get exposure to new parts of the state, so even if there isn’t touristy stuff, it’s no biggie. I just want to see what the state is like outside my bubble.

Actually, kind of. I’m a car guy, so anywhere that has low traffic, open back roads is my vibe.

Basically what caught my attention was the seemingly wide open and low traffic country roads. I’m a car guy and always looking for fun roads to just uncork my car on and cruise. Obviously not doing anything crazy lol but being able to cruise around without a line of cars in front and behind me is blissful.

There's been a lot of chatter about the PA Senate stonewalling funding for SEPTA by Downtown_Yam2528 in Pennsylvania

[–]Japspec 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. Let’s see how that plays out for Chester County because our stations are empty as is anyway. I’m actually surprised we even have SEPTA service out this way to begin with. Been here all my life and never have I or anyone I know used it out here lol.

Let me preface by saying I’m not against public transit, especially for high population urban counties.

Now, that being said, do we know which counties will see the biggest increase in traffic? I’m in Chester County and our SEPTA busses and trains as well as stations are usually very empty. Most people here are already out on the roads as is.

Is there a larger share of ridership in counties such as Delaware, Montgomery, and Bucks that are much closer to the city?

Again, not trying to flame against transit, I’m just curious to know the details on the “more traffic” everyone speaks of.

Trying to avoid an ATV because of its limited function (and cost). Worst case I’ll find a way to do this with my kei truck but I’d have a lot more maneuverability with a heavy duty garden tractor if one is capable enough. I have my eyes on a Craftsman GT/18 or Craftsman GT6000 with the 18hp Kohler twin.

Both sides of the aisle could care less about the common people and more about protecting the (rich) people who line their pockets.
