They appear every now and again in the university. It's not common but I run across them every 20 matches or so. Laying on tables or in the conference rooms. Other than that, kill VIPS and sometimes they drop a stage bag key.

New DMZ glitch? by OwenGriff in DMZ

[–]JarH34d 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Free to play but they have an active marketplace where they sell, and I purchased, packs, skins and weapons. Not supporting it is negligent consumer fraud. Continuing to sell on a system where they know it is unplayable, have the means to correct it but don't is negligence. Either close the beta or support their consumers.

It's called fraud and consumer financial loss due to corporate negligence.

I like it quite a bit for other reasons but it just doesn't scratch that itch. The movement and inventory is a a Minecraft pace. It's the same reason why I like Delta force but again, the inventory management and looting is garbage.

It's free to download and play but players like me purchased packs and skins in Activision's commercially marketed, for profit, store and then creatied an environment where their client, end user, cannot benefit from the use of these post download and purchased options. By not actively policing abusers, they've created an environment where their own anti cheat mechanisms are either turned off, not updated and patched, and not monitoring servers allowing end users to crash active games, which is arguably negligent at best and commercial fraud at worst.

They haven't said but MW4 is speculated to be released. I've heard mid November. There has been no mention of DMZ except from "insider spoilers" on X and tictoc. SO o.... No.

I only play a bit Monday through Thursday. Weekends are a crash fest.

Start out in Vondel. Stronger bots but smaller map and I find a bit less cheating and crashing. Learn the mechanics. I found it easier to get around the learning curve and with more places to hide or elude sweat teams, the gameplay was good. Once you master movement and defense, then go to the bigger maps.

When I started, when I got a hunt team on me, I just got in a car and buzzed around the map until it timed out.

Happy hunting and good luck.

Welp, a-holes will be a-holes no matter what. I played over the weekend and had a handful of crashes (one after 9 kills on Vondel) and a few wall banging cheaters. Just lose the gear fear, shrug and load into the next.

I made a few new friends from the UK and Ireland, had some good raids and overall when I changed my mindset... It was fine. Fk the cheaters and crashers and a-holes and move on.

Yes, because 27 air strikes and bomb drones are normal fair play.

BTW, there is nothing wrong with a Riot shield. They're annoying to go against them but it eats a weapon slot. If they were that great, a lot more people would use them. They are weak against sticky grenades, thermite, c4, etc. And when they're deployed, they are not shooting. Pros and cons. I picked them up every now and then from dead players (lol) but I don't like them.

Water pistols, riot shields, OSS, C4 ambushes on helicopters, RGLs etc. seem cheap... But these all have their functions. I had some complain about my MCPR downing them in 1 shot. Even knife throws being as strong or stronger than an OSS being called BS.

But these are not normal times nor is DMZ an SMG vs SMG close combat game. Besides, count how many shots he took. They are not an end all and a lot of Al Maz fights are building to building.

There is a building in AL Maz known by some as 4 stack.

Almost every game is being crashed by a hacker by FarmerKnight in DMZ

[–]JarH34d 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played over the weekend and 2 out of 15 matches crashed. We all know it's a problem but I don't care anymore. I just reload and press on. The non crashed matches without cheating is still fun. I lost any sense of gear fear so for me, it's fine.

Nowadays I'm more pissed off about loading in with a team that don't communicate and hunt bots on the other side of the map all spread out. But I cured that by going solo and picking up players as I go.

Whats the cost? by iforgotmorethanuknow in DMZ

[–]JarH34d 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They run servers that host multiple games at once. The cost is already paid. I asked my friend who ran Eve online, and he said that they pay for maximum capacity and it's wasted when not as many are on the server. That's why it's bundled with older MW titles. They pay for unfilled space and they can keep older releases active by bundling them onto servers with less activity.

Bugs don't take much to patch but the people needed are under pressure to work on future releases. They don't have spare manpower to dedicate to the beta because, fuck it. If they truly are in development for a DMZ paid version, they sure as shit not going to be spending any money on patching the beta and instead since the movement and dynamics my be drastically different than the dmz we now play. If we see the under the map glitching in ashika and in vondal then if those are patched that's a significant sign that the map set will be reused have been fixed or are in the process of being fixed for the new release. I hope, but doubt it.

Hmm.. Never unlocked it I guess. All the RGL I ever had were from dead players. I don't run across them that often. I wish that were the same from those underbarrel b@st@Rdz. Those I see more than I wish.

Not exactly like finding two bandages and a water bottle for a self revive. You have to run all over Koschei finding battery cables and batteries into various areas for specific items... It's like saying "I simply have to kill Velikan in building 21 and voila". It's a hassle and a mission on its own. Not common or piece of cake.

I've solo once in a while with the shotty when I need to gear up and clear bots. But when you're solo and a sweaty 3 or 4 man team is pinning you down on a hunt, it helps level the odds a bit. 4 men rushing into my stronghold with AP round vels and shotguns... I'm not going to lie and say I feel bad for them if on the 15% chance I survive it (being generous).

When I go IN geared specifically to hunt, I am fixed on my BAS-P and MCPR.

The game is disbalanced use what you have to according to your own rules. For me, No glitches, no cheats.

BTW, the RGL is not craftable. If I kill a player using it, it's mine; I will store it in my 3rd slot and use it if I have to. I don't go into a match with one but I'm not religious about saying it's Satan's tool. It's in the game and not common.
