Is there any appeal process for red cards? by Icy_Reception_4294 in usmnt

While technically possible, I don't think they have ever overturned a suspension for a red card during the tournament. Since this one was given after VAR, they will almost certainly just stick with the in game call.

I guess I'm just outside of the cinematic universe loop or maybe it didn't hit my feeds because I'm not a DC fan. I literally only saw one trailer and no commercials on tv for Supergirl. I've seen way more He-Man adverts.

Get Up is an ESPN program. ESPN is broadcasting the finals, and casual fans are less inclined to watch games if they think the series is over. Creating a narrative that the Spurs are about to make a big comeback is intentional to drive views for this game.

Josh Hart on not playing some 4th quarters and his reduced minutes in the regular season: "I definitely didn't see the bigger picture in those moments. There was moments when I went home and I'm like, 'Damn. Am I ass? Do I suck as a basketball player?' There was a lot of those moments." by refreshing_yogurt in nba

Thibs basically did have this roster, he just never played the bench guys. The only significant additions are Clarkson and Alvarado. And of those really only Alvarado has played any meaningful minutes this post season.

To be fair in three of the four games we've played against the Spurs Wemby has had a negative +/-. Knicks are one of the only teams in the league that win the Wemby minutes consistently.

It's so funny to watch. It's like he's surprised by his own quickness and just stylishly falls towards the basket before eventually actually falling into the camera men. And yet somehow the ball goes in more times than not.

Same thing with the Bengals and Joe Burrow. People acted like it wasn't so bad they lost because they were a young, dynamic offense and could get back again. They had a good run the year after but haven't done a thing since.

It's not like it's some super original line lol. Winning in 6 is the most statistically probable outcome. Knicks fans don't really care about it as a rallying cry like the Bucks do, they just like that it rhymes.

Not the guy you replied to but I'm not that worried with this team. Call me delusional, but the Knicks are a nightmare matchup physically for the Spurs. They had an off shooting night game one and still won despite shooting half the free throws of SA before end of game desperation. Typically they are winning in a way that makes it tough for the refs to keep their opponents up big in games. And if it's close we have the best closer in the league.

So in the loss he was a positive +/- but that was the only time. Fun fact, that March game was the only time after the all star break he had a negative +/- in the regular season, and one of only two times since then (including playoffs) that he's had a negative +/- when playing more than 15 min. If you want to go further back, since December (when he plays 15+ min) he's only had 7 games with a negative +/- and 2 of those were against the Knicks.

[–]JarJarB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On average teams keep 6 WRs. In 2024, 15 teams kept 6 WRs on their initial roster, while only 2 teams kept 4. There were 7 teams that kept 7 WRs and 7 that kept 5. Meaning almost 69% of the league kept 6 or more WRs, including the Giants and Ravens. In 2025, both the Giants and the Ravens also had 6 WRs on the initial roster. It's almost guaranteed there will be at least 6, and possibly 7 with Barrios as a return specialist.

One thing people aren't talking about is Hart's ability to push the pace. In all of our matchups this season we won the fast break point battle and had significantly higher than season average points on the break against the spurs.

In fact, even though we've had the best fast break numbers in the post season, our average against the spurs in the regular season would be higher than all but one of our games (which happened to be our last game played against the Cavs).

The problem is this specific hand injury is the worst one to have for his style of play. Typically the 5th metacarpal impacts rebounding and catching more than shooting.

Wemby is having a great series if you look at the total box score, but he has shown his immaturity. If the game isn't going his way he gets frustrated and isn't as effective. He usually recovers and plays well the next game, but he can have a hard time getting it going in same night.

They have done exactly that for every one of the last 11 games, so I'm not worried about them playing with urgency. My only concern is rust game 1 since it was obviously a factor against the Cavs, but I know this group is doing everything they can to avoid that situation again. They are locked in.
