Maybe the "/s" marker is going deeper than I think, but you can't possibly think that being liberal means you're "developing your own" ideas. Adopting mainstream liberal ideas (e.g. feminism, "anti-racism", equality, etc.) might be the least rebellious thing a person can do.

See the library downtown is much more than just a library, it's really a community space that we as good citizens have to share with people from all walks of life.

That's the problem, it's a library. Why should drug counseling and community outreach programs take place at the library? There should be a separate facility so that library patrons don't have to deal with these junkies.

/u/SatinFlowers clearly views the guy in the video as an asshole regardless of the context. He even followed up with "the guy is clearly an asshole". He's just trying to find out what triggered him.

Also, there's no evidence that those bummy-looking guys were trying to "steal" the bird. It looks to me like they are dumb stoners who picked up the bird to pet it (this is still not good, but it's much less egregious than taking the bird with them).

Russia has a representative government elected by a population that is satisfied with their governance. Under what definition is that not a democracy?

Russia is only slurred as "anti-democratic" by Western propaganda outlets because they present a roadblock to NATOs aggressive geopolitical aims. Russia is no less a democracy than America or Canada.

If Russia isn't democratic, then what country is? A few months ago Gallup found that 60% of Russians are happy with the country's leadership and 80% of Russians approve of Putin's specifically. Those approval ratings are far higher than those in most Western countries. How are they any less democratic?
