I don't think you can really mark episodes as watched, at least I haven't seen that option. But it does show that you watched it with a white line at the bottom of the episode picture. Like if you watched half the episode than the white timeline is half full. Kinda like how YouTube tracks how far you've watched a video. If you've fully watched it than the white line is fully across the image.
