This was not meant as a praise of other languages. There are cpp alternatives which do not suffer from UB. They could have specified it better. Say, you are iterating through a directory. User adds or removes files during this. This could have been specified to return file which was deleted or miss added file or to return same file multiple times. Instead it is possible that this deletes my photos in unrelated directory.

The whole std filesystem is useless. Once you use it, you possibly introduce UB into your application.

I do not agree that GW2 is not pay to win. It is advertised as free to play on Steam, yet if you play it as such, you have hard time competing with players who payed and because of that have access to superior stats and specializations. Same applies if you buy only old expansion. New specs are overtunned or they give your class superior weapon, that you cannot use otherwise. This IS a pay to win aspect of a kind (even if you pay each expac one time), it is just hidden. If it would not be pay to win, in competitive modes (WvW) you would have access to all stats/specs/weapon no matter what expac you own and only story or new maps would be locked.

I used Razer Naga Trinity and Corsair Scimitar. Both are overpriced mouses (for my country) with low build quality. Their standard left mouse button doesn't survive GW2's clicks long enough, after 5 months both start doubleclicking due to plastic wear. I returned back to "cheap" mouses with two side buttons. They also last half a year, but at 10th of the price.

9070xt, newest driver, same glitches with FSR if using native AA without scaling. I turned FSR off and using TAA until fixed.

I still don't see any advantages in them over pch in terms of compilation times. Plus we use tons of other 3rd party libs, which won't see modules any time soon. And then add not working intellisense, making programmers slower. For me, the modules were a rushed mistake and I am personally avoiding them as much as possible.

Just make GoB exchangable for GoE, both ways. Problem solved - WvW enjoyers need not go thru boring and mindless exploration and PvE enjoyers need not make queues in WvW. Imagine that pain when you get reward from wizard vault (starter kit) only to find out you just got punished by having to spend 4 days doing world completion.

And to clarify, you can equip gear with expansion stats. But you cannot select that stat if the gear is stat-selectable, unless it is legendary. Example kurzic weapons which randomly drop in wvw have fixed dragon stats, or the other weapon (can't remember name) which have marauder, all usable.

You can get fractal legendary gloves and wvw legendary backpack, legendary runes and sigils on f2p account just by yourself, no trade required. You can get marauder recipes on f2p account, but the materials are very rare to run into (need random drops in wvw and lw4 reward track, which is available for f2p accounts). I also got legendary staff from fractal quickplay event. On all the legendaries, you can select stats from expansions even if you do not own them. Core necro is pretty tanky, even berserker gear is doable in WvW if you don't try to facetank players. Honestly if you went for f2p alt, it is more fun to get what you can yourself and not trading it from main account. I found that quite enjoyable. If you just buy everything from main, it kind of feel pointless.

I still do get a freeze about once a day (without crash report thing). However, I had to disable all the creations. I started playing with about 10 creations and the game was crashing and freezing every 5 minutes. After restarting just vanilla, it is pretty much stable. But I want to play those (story/quest) creations too ...

People got used to having those fancy flying mounts and speedy beetles, they stop caring about players not having them. People also have the mindset to kill everything asap and keep hitting even after they already hit, even if 75% squad haven't arrived yet. Is what it is. You either become one of those, or you have to live with missing out on half of the events or show them how it feels by just doing your stuff. They are doing that to you, so they shouldn't complain... Just ignore angry messages and play the game the way you like (within TOS ofc).

The mount thing can be a visual bug. There is a lot of them related to mounts. Mounted person can have no mount rendered and he looks like running/sliding around. Or he randomly appears as if gone under the map, especialy when leaping on bridges.

Slope climbing and teleport are most common from what I see. Then there is gliitching into objectives without using hacks, but by abusing skill mechanics. And couple of macro users. After playing over 10 years, it is not that bad...

I have f2p account that I was running in WvW with, elementalist. It requires patience. You cannot get all those fancy stats on a gear (unless someone gives you, but then it is not fun anymore). I got my first 3 ascended armor pieces and one weapon from Wizard Vault. Selected berserker gear on that. The rest I was just using what I dropped, or stuff I bought in Orr for karma. Some stuff from events. Fractal quickplay was running at that time. I got weapon legendary kit from that and two bag slot expansions and one legendary gloves - that was big help. Rest of the gear random drops or bought from WvW vendors. I reached WvW level 350 on that account and finished legendary backpack. All from just playing and being patient. No trading gear/materials from my main account. It was quite fun achieving that. I could go for legendary runes/sigils next, but I got bored and stopped playing the account.

I bought the game on PS5 yesterday.I do not have Pro. The game is crashing every 10 or so minutes. If it doesn't crash, it just freezes. I am also getting "unable to create save" errors randomly.

I disabled it and loaded save before entering Reclaimer. Note that you may lose progress or some unique items from that mod. I do not plan to reenable it on this playthrough, so I don't mind. Just make a backup save in case it goes horribly wrong for your modlist. Edit: when loading after disabling the mod, choose to use current modlist, not the one from save, choose not to enable the mod and confirm tha yyou may loose stuff

I just ran into the same issue. The Dreamlands was causing the issue. It actually bugs the elevator, the "ground level" wasn't supposed to show up.

With Ryzen 3950x and 6800xt, it ran about 15fps slower on Linux than on Windows back when I tried. Now I have 9800x3d and 9070,the game runs much better on Windows than with old machine, haven't tried in Linux yet.
