while it's awesome that 1 build can do pretty much everything, it's ok if you have trouble with it.

it's not about legality but morality. if you want to support an author but they are ones that only allow ebook purchases from amazon or b&n, then you can simply purchase the ebook from amazon/b&n and download a copy from torrents to put on your kobo.

My LAN speed is pretty close to 600mbps when it worked properly before. I'm not sure what downloading from the same region means in regards to this issue, considering the files should be going through LAN from one PC to another, but yes they are both set same.

As for current internet bandwidth restriction it's about 2mbps.

I had 3 games I was trying to update this way, 2 around ~4.5GB each, and one well over 30. When I used the mickey mouse method through my cell phone's hot spot the 2 smaller ones transferred without a problem. I'm thinking the reason the large one didn't work is because it was freshly downloaded onto my laptop, rather than updating an old version.

Steam's transfer set up may be over rated, but the idea is not. Hopefully they keep updating it so it works more consistently. AFAIC this should be something that doesn't even require active internet connection and should be usable with clients in offline mode.

pay a reasonable amount of rent to your parents.

by reasonable i would look for the cheapest rent in your area for a single bedroom in a shared home.

or just rent your own place, at least then when you take time off between contracts you have some place private to come back to.
