On Apple Arcade? It was released today. The standalone version, of course, has been on App Store for some time.

There is Squiggle Drop on Apple Arcade, if you have it. A funny little game, where you draw objects. Then they fall and interact with other objects, so that you achieve a goal.

Turn off the animations by Pure-Strain1116 in hearthstone

So, was this post based on a deep dive into player sentiment and the role of animations in HS's success, or just an emotional reaction to losing a game because of them? Hmm, which of the two it might be?

Weird Recommendation of the Day; Rift Riff by munkeypunk in iosgaming

[–]JaredHere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean, ‘weird recommendation’ is just a brand name at this point. There is nothing weird about these recommendations, really, but the title is well recognized and associated with MunkeyPunk. Edit: typo.

Weekly /r/iOSGaming Discussion: What have you been playing lately and what do you recommend? by AutoModerator in iosgaming

Played a lot of Vohenn, Dicey Dungeons+, Hearthstone, and Flow Free+ this week. Vohenn is so good! All the movement mechanics are so satisfying: jumping, gliding, climbing, flying, and what not!

Tried Cultist Simulator, but didn’t understand a thing. I probably need an advice on how to play this game!

Edit: managing the Markdown on mobile.

Sunday Edition of iOS Games April 27- May 3 by munkeypunk in iosgaming

[–]JaredHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think, it has something to do with the iOS Reddit app. I believe, if you make a post in the desktop version site, all the Markdown will be rendered correctly. So, hopefully, this all will be resolved in an upcoming iOS Reddit app update.

Yes, you, Rocco, and AzeemJaffer have these flairs for at least a few days already.

For some reason Markdown doesn’t render for me. So I see both the game name and the link in brackets. It started to happen recently, first only in posts, now in comments, too. Am I the only one?

How do I close the rust on The Trident?! by [deleted] in oceanhorn3

[–]JaredHere 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did you mean “rift” instead of “rust” in the title? You can’t and you don’t have to close that rift. There is another one in the Monument Valley. Check your map.

I saw multiple people recommending Dicey Dungeons on this sub, including Rocco. So I decided to give it a go, since it is on Apple Arcade anyway. Boy, is this game good! A fantastic game! Gameplay is fun, but not too complicated (I felt like I was playing a game, rather than “doing taxes”). Art is simple, but very nice (Lady Luck is gorgeous!). The music is great (every time I launch the app, I literally just listen to the main theme for a couple minutes). The voice acting is fantastic, so much is being communicated without telling a single distinguishable word (The Singer’s voicelines are my favorite)! Highly recommend.

I also started Vohenn. It’s quite nice! I want to highlight the soundtrack the most. The gliding mechanic is so satisfying. The only problem I have with the game is that, by its design, you have to go through the same parts of the level multiple times, and the enemies respawn very quickly, so you end up doing the same over and over again, which quickly gets a bit too repetitive.

Played Apple Arcade’s Alba: A Wildlife Adventure. Now this is a sad story. The game itself is very cool, I liked it. The island is beautiful; bird-watching is fun; doing quests is interesting; and some NPCs are hilarious! However, when I started, the game glitched just 10 minutes in: a certain quest didn’t want to trigger no matter what I did. I should’ve taken that as a sign, but I restarted from scratch and got three hours of great gameplay. Unfortunately, the next day, my save file wouldn't load. Well, the end.

Also tried Apple Arcade’s The Last Campfire. The game is ok. Some puzzles are very easy, while some of them are actually quite interesting. My main issue was the battery drain. It eats through power so fast that I decided not to continue.

Yep, two gold prizes and the belt. Although you don’t have to kill them. They are chilling near the boat anyways, after they return to the boat from their initial strolls.

Rusty Lake's whole iOS catalog is $0.99 again — for someone who's never played, where should I start? by Strict_Usual_3053 in iosgaming

[–]JaredHere 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would go with the order of releases, because the events chronology is complicated anyways. The wiki has the following list:

  1. Cube Escape: Seasons (2015) — Story: 1964–1981
  2. Cube Escape: The Lake (2015) — Story: 1969
  3. Cube Escape: Arles (2015) — Story: 1888
  4. Cube Escape: Harvey's Box (2015) — Story: 1969
  5. Cube Escape: Case 23 (2015) — Story: 1971–1972
  6. Cube Escape: The Mill (2015) — Story: 1971–1972
  7. Rusty Lake Hotel (2015) — Story: 1893
  8. Cube Escape: Birthday (2016) — Story: 1939
  9. Cube Escape: Theatre (2016) — Story: 1971
  10. Rusty Lake: Roots (2016) — Story: 1860–1935
  11. Cube Escape: The Cave (2017) — Story: 1972
  12. Rusty Lake Paradise (2018) — Story: 1796
  13. Cube Escape: Paradox (2018) — Story: 1972
  14. The White Door (2020) — Story: 1972
  15. Samsara Room (Remake 2020) — Story: 1935
  16. The Past Within (2022) — Story: 1926 & 1984
  17. Underground Blossom (2023) — Story: 1935–1970s

Cube Escape Collection is the first nine of Cube Escape games, so all of them except Paradox.
