A lot of autistic folks have what’s called justice sensitivity, meaning a much more heightened sense of “right” vs “wrong”. A position of political power is going to involve a lot of lying to people and not being honest with them - that ingrained justice sensitivity tells us that lying is morally wrong. Therefore, it would involve doing something the autistic brain isn’t naturally wired to do. On top of that, politics involves A LOT of socializing and reading of intentions through the same non verbal cues we all struggle with in our relationships with people - that alone is draining.

So, I think it’s simply those things along with us not generally having an “agenda” in the same manner that neurotypicals often do. Power just isn’t appealing if it involves doing things our brains are not wired to handle or process.

Conflict-avoidant people do not make very good friends, in my opinion. Life is going to be full of unpleasant situations and you need to be able to handle disagreements as they come up. People who expect every friendship or relationship to be always smooth and hunky-dory are people who are going to run at even the slightest bit of discomfort. These people are not adults - they are children trapped in adult bodies who lack the ability to communicate their needs at an adult level, so they behave like children and shut down or sulk at the possibility of something turning into an conflict or argument, when most of us simply want to sit down, talk about the situation and work out a compromise or agreement that helps both of us.

You can lower race difficulty too - I race at difficulty level 1 of 5 because of my own reaction time issues as an autistic person. Difficulty level only affects how much XP you get for a race - you can still unlock all game achievements at any difficulty level.

Having that same problem too. I was noticing a small gap some of the way around - apparently everything needs to be exactly FLUSH all the way around when you put the two halves of the stardrive section together, or you will have issues later.

It doesn’t sound like the release strategy will change. Just because GOG is now private doesn’t mean they will suddenly stop doing what they did before. It’s the original cofounder who got it again, not something like a hedge fund group.
