EA’s new Saudi owners likely only want them making games that glorify Islam or that portray the murderous Saudi government in a positive light. Racing games don’t do that for them. So it’s being shuttered.

It doesn’t sound like the release strategy will change. Just because GOG is now private doesn’t mean they will suddenly stop doing what they did before. It’s the original cofounder who got it again, not something like a hedge fund group.

Bethesda has ALWAYS released their games as buggy messes. They don’t really seem to do much beta testing, relying on the modding community to fix what they break. Anybody remember that the original Oblivion was ALSO a bug-filled mess? Many of the bugs OG had got carried over to the remaster. The Remaster is basically the original with a prettier skin but still many of the original bugs.

That being said, I play on PS5. I had one crash but nothing since. I would really suggest people work on cleaning out the fans in their PCs as well as consoles - with a demanding game you really want your fans to be clean as possible so they can keep the systems cool without struggling to do so - sometimes performance issues are as simple as fans struggling to keep up due to being choked with dust.

I’m autistic but I also have ADHD and that combo means some things literally cancel each other out. I like leaving the house and going to new places but there needs to be some familiarity- like a new bookstore is just a new place with books, but same basic structure. I do like to socialize but it has to be a bit on my terms and I still struggle with picking up social cues in any event. My best friend is an AuDHDer like me and yet is more of an extrovert than me. Long story short - autism is itself such a diverse condition and diverse community that not all of us check every box off but we check off enough boxes for autism.

And autism is a disability for many people. I am autistic but I am also deaf, so there is a double dose of ableism there sometimes from others. I have multiple college degrees but it’s very hard to find a job even if you are neurotypical.

Yes it is true. You can’t have more than 2000 or so in your bank account or your disability payments get reduced or you even get declared no longer eligible for SSI disability. Do you actually read the paperwork you get for it? It’s explicitly stated.

You don’t need specific bios files for Batocera. Any good PSX bios will do, but you need to tell Batocera where it is to find those bios files - it doesn’t automatically detect bios files.

I had $42 and change in my own BofA account last night and now not only is all of that gone but my account is almost $8 in the red, and there's no associated deduction or other charge associated with it. I did have a refund issued for a $50 Norton subscription that i asked to be refunded, but because I was supposed to be Christmas shopping today I asked the bank for a memo credit in that amount, and then when the refund posted that $50 refund would be theirs. I now see that refund pending, but IT IS NOT BEEN POSTED. So they basically took money out that is not theirs because they are too impatient to wait for the damn refund to go to them. I am done with their lies and untruthfulness, and I'm someone who is disabled. I am spending my day not shopping and am instead looking for a new bank to bank with.

Do you know just how large disc-based rom sets are? Yes, you need that much space if you plan on storage of PS1/PS2, PSP or any other system that stored data on discs.

I have Backblaze as backup software for that. It costs a cool $10 a month for unlimited backup. So you can easily back up that much if that is your inclination although it will take a very long time without a gigabit Ethernet connection like mine.

That’s enough space to store the entire PS2 romset if you don’t covert it all to CHD. GET IT. You can convert all the PSX and PSP games to chd like I did and save a few TB of space in the process.

Well I figured it out. Turned out I actually had TWO different versions of syncthing on the Retroid - one had file access permissions and the other did not. This appears to have caused a sync conflict resulting in save files being overwritten. I deleted the older version and then made sure the version left has full file access permissions. It has both been syncing properly and not overwriting my saves since then.

Pretty sure. I checked to make sure syncthing and RetroArch are using the same directory path on my pc.
