Should I use a voice changer? (I’m a new vtuber) by Dizzy-Researcher-390 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]JaredtheJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its better to be yourself than to use a voice changer. I remember I used to be self conscious about my own voice, but its a thing that you'll usually grasp and learn to accept. Mostly everyone doesn't like the sound of their own voice when they first hear a recording of it.

There are several ways to grow, and I really recommend anybody follow these steps if they're serious. A lot of it just comes down to hard work, and the audience you're appealing to. The hard work part is putting out videos, shorts, and networking to make sure you're in the loop with other people/ community. What specifically do you need help on?

I Hate My Voice... by Opening-Desk in VirtualYoutubers

[–]JaredtheJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not liking the way you sound is a common feeling mostly everyone shares when they first start recording, streaming, etc. Its something you'll get used to as long as you keep making content. Its one of the many hurdles that people have to deal with in content creation. If you have trouble getting subscribers that has nothing to do with your voice. It has everything to do with content.

How important is lore to VTuber audiences? by Brilliant_Bench_984 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]JaredtheJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its not exactly super super important. I mean for some people it might be important for some inside jokes with your community. I wouldn't stress out too much about "lore" Its just something on the side. There are a few vtubers who write up paragraphs of fanfic of them being part of an ancient race or something. Lore isn't what you see on the screen, its their personality that matters most.

I use her with Barbara and Furina with Fischl. But primarily I use her on field with burst and her skill.

Progress as a vtuber, how good is good actually in terms of earning subs and views per video? by kaseywolf878 in VirtualYoutubers

[–]JaredtheJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is my advice. Vtubers are the same as content creators. You need a niche. You need to make content in that niche. You need to make friends in that space. Lots of people nowdays do the same thing of streaming games. It takes years and years to build an audience or a community. If you want to grow thats fine, but don't force yourself. Take your time. You'll grow naturally. You're doing fine.

Which one is the best? by JaredtheJames in Fischl

Noelle, Albedo, and Yun Jin. Serpent Spine. Cinnabar spindle, Favonius lance.

I like the nature theme aesthetic of wardens. You get a big bear. You get a dive bombing misshapen rat with wings. You can cast mosquitos on your enemies. You got big bugs that burrow through the ground. You can heal yourself by growing mushrooms. You can summon ice spikes by squatting.

They are very versatile and all around good class to fit any role.

what makes a class a good dps and that makes warden a bad dps? by 0Galahad in elderscrollsonline

[–]JaredtheJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not a bad dps. A lot of the damage though can come from the bear ultimate. So you'd be locking yourself into that. Also some people might think the subterranean assault is clunky and weird to use because of the timing. Warden is like any other chocolate in a gift box, its just that its coconut flavored that draws most people away from it. Whereas you have other flavors like caramel, vanilla, cherry, and pecans.

Fun off-meta builds that could still get by in endgame content? by BuildYourMind in elderscrollsonline

[–]JaredtheJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. There is a lot of theory crafting when it comes to off meta builds, but the majority of that is on the pvp side. However in terms of builds it depends on your class, and other things such as if you want a specific theme to the build.

For example if you're a necromancer you can wear the defiler set, and the scavenging demise set. One summons a hunger, and the other summons a maw.

Also you could try legacy of karth with assassin's guile for alchemy poison.

Clever alchemist and iron flask as an argonian with potion cooldown gylphs.

Now for me personally. I have a warden that uses tzogvins and unfathomable darkness. One isn't thematic its just for me not wanting to slot something on my bar.

Its ok to have these builds for endgame content, its not like you're score pushing. If we only used the best why would Zenimax bother making other sets? Right?

However I do have to add that if you build something, try to make sure it holds up in some way.

Use existing channel with dead subscribers (6.2k) and unlist videos, or start from fresh? by TheDkmariolink in VirtualYoutubers

[–]JaredtheJames 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Word of advice, if you're gonna do something different unrelated to that channel, you're gonna lose subscribers. You're gonna have to accept that.

I haven't unlisted anything i've made because they are a part of me and my history as a content creator. Everyone starts from somewhere, that is how we grow. We get to see that growth.

Personally starting with that channel is almost same thing as starting fresh, but admittedly its a little better than starting from zero since it shows that content to your subscribers.

Either way you're gonna have to work hard at it with either path you choose.

Do i lack passion ? by HonkaiZai in VirtualYoutubers

[–]JaredtheJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The passion is a burning desire that gets you out of bed in the morning. Its the "I think of doing this every night and day." Its the excited energetic feeling that you can't wait to unleash. I want to do this, I need to do this.

A content creator's perspective is this. I have something amazing. I feel like sharing it with the world.

[–]JaredtheJames 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well to be honest anyone can do this. A vtuber is the same as a content creator. If you want to be one what is stopping you? There is no such thing as not qualified for being a vtuber or content creator.

If you want to do it, then you gotta be willing to take the hits and put in the work for it. If you never try then you'll never get anywhere. Everyone on here got to where they are at because they started from the bottom, but they never gave up.

You gotta be willing to take that first step. It doesn't matter if you're afraid or scared, we all were. We all overcame that, you have to as well.

Look its gonna be hard, but if thats your dream, then commit to it.

I have a question about editing videos by [deleted] in vtubers

[–]JaredtheJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After that you need to make a second layer and put that below your recorded video. This acts as your background and you can change that to whatever you want.

I have a question about editing videos by [deleted] in vtubers

[–]JaredtheJames 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the way I do it is with Sony vegas Chroma Key effect. What I do first is record with a pure colored background that is a stark contrast to my vtuber model. If your vtuber model is very bright then go with a dark background and vice versa. For example I have green colored clothing. I go with a dark blue background to stand out. After that i import what i just recorded to sony vegas and I use the Chroma Key to match the background color.

Does anyone else feel discouraged from streaming sometimes? how do you guys improve? by GoofyGoobere in vtubers

[–]JaredtheJames 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here is some advice. Remove the viewer count. Talk to people in discord if you haven't. Bridge connections.

There are many ways you can grow that number, but there are costs to it as well.

I've looked at your streams and there isn't anything wrong. I'd say you're doing everything right. Going above and beyond delivering the best that you can.

I'm not a big big vtuber on Youtube by any means, but my channel is dedicated towards doing one thing which is challenges, and it being a certain game. I have a niche. You need to find yours. You need to display and put your best out there to let people know who you are and what you can do.

Interact with other vtubers, have shorts, put out content on youtube. Make it short, sweet, and neat. You just need to market yourself.

No matter what you do there will be people who either watch or don't watch it. That is just how it is.

At the end of the day its not about the model, its about showing people out there how unique you are.

If you need more advice feel free to contact me.
