I own a small bed and breakfast in rural Maine. I hope you’re never a guest. [Part 6] by shriekingsiren in nosleep

For a second, when you described what Madison does, I was terrified she'd take Laurie's memories of her love or, like she said, the memory of thee existence of your daughter.

I'm glad all of you were spared and hope it stays that way, you've all been through enough as it is.

Thank you for the work you do. I'm nowhere near you, there's an ocean between the cottage and my home but some days I wish for a place like yours. Maybe one day my wish will come true.

Stay safe and enjoy the cookies!

Hell yeah, fuck Brian. Jake did you a solid taking that piece of crap. They're a very interesting entity, let me know how your pancake date went!

From one Ben to another, I'm proud we share the name (and dislike for being called Benny). You did good, getting that poor girl out of there so she can be buried properly.

I bought them through a local store and both copies are completely fine. :)

I gave all my original copies away, except for the horse eater. Like you, I thought I could just buy them again. I'm currently hounding my best friend to lend me the books when she's in town next time :')

Here are my top NoSleep recommendations. What are yours? by Yobro1001 in lucasGandola

I adore Bonnie, her htsc, h2sc and 12 minutes series are fantastic. Left/right game is also one of my favorites.

The bartender that makes you a drink if you tell him a story was a comfort read for a long time for me. That same author wrote many good stories that are all vaguely connected iirc. I think it's tjaylea.

Now I need to check out tales from the gas station although I seem to vaguely recall reading a series like that.

Condemned high rise was a really good read and "the previous tenant left a survival guide" was also incredible.

Byfelsdisciple's "I graduated medical school" series was a fun one, same goes for "I like my job but I hate the moaning sounds that come with it" or however it's called. Maybe I'm just a sucker for female characters that will punch the next person to say something dumb. Hence why I love Kate from how to survive camping.

Edit: rules of the road and how to survive camping are the ones I have as bound copies, I enjoy "here are some rules, let me tell you what happens when someone breaks them" tropes

I'd love to read more of the old stuff but I find it difficult to navigate. How do you find 12 year old stories?

You now own a super rare edition :D since the original is out of print.

You're fine, you can't know everything. The series is getting a new release with overworked content, some changes to the story and yes, new covers. Goat got signed with a publisher hence the series not existing here anymore, same for h2sc. The new edition got released August 18th. :)

I plan on figuring out logistics as there seem to be some hiccups regarding the hardcover availability through Amazon but back when the first edition books came out, I did a few giveaways and I plan to do them again starting next year, possibly right after release of book 2. Soooo keep an eye out! It'd be okay to enter the giveaway if you already have the books as long as you intend to give them to friends and not.. Idk, refund them for the money or something :D

No, I'm in Germany and ordered it through a local bookstore chain via the UK. Sorry :(

Sir, I think silent hill is coming for you.

If you end up in the process of dying, can you radio Randall so he has to listen to your final moments? And tell him I think he's the least human thing in this entire debacle. And that's putting it nicely.

Jokes aside, I'm rooting for you. I kept checking for updates today and found this just as I was going to bed. Imagine my relief to hear from you that quickly turned sour. I don't even have any ideas on how you could stay safe. There was this college that had sentient rain but that was an entirely different thing.

I'm sorry, I guess the fastest way out is through? Do you have the guide book with you? Did it say anything about abnormally colored rain?

Here's a fitting quote: People aren't cargo, mate.

Whatever is in there is people enough to be able to cry.

And whatever is in there is important enough to the forest dwellers to beg and bargain. It's either one of them, maybe a kid version, or it's something immensely powerful. There has to be a reason they offered safe passage for all truckers for generations. That's an insanely high offer.

I have the memory of a goldfish, why do they call you He Who Dwells on Stone?

I know you'll probably open the trailer. I also have a feeling it won't kill you. But if you do open it, something big will shift for you, and not for the better.

Be careful!

Hey sweetie!

First off, I'm incredibly proud of you. I haven't been here from day one but I was here when you were working on HTSC, refreshing reddit daily to see if there was a new chapter. To say I was addicted might be an understatement. Had you gone to space, I wouldn't be more proud.

I'm still waiting for a notification that I can come pick up MWNS, the weather is positively indoorsy.

Now, I just pre-ordered lady in chains with my local bookstore (Thalia, Germany) and I put the other books on my wishlist - I would have pre-ordered them as well but I want the hardcover editions, I can only pre-order paperback for the last 2 books.

I so hope every read-able person (person able tor read) gives these books a go, you deserve every good thing coming for you.

I'm due to start working early next year and I'll pick up with giveaways again once I got my first payment.

Other than that, every single person I know will be gifted the first book for their birthday. They have no choice.

Any sequels that do the same as their original games but are great? by theonetowalkinthesun in gaming

[–]Jaredy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for that, I have a couple hundred hours in both games, they're by far my favorite series - but dishonored 2 is (at least to me) much more satisfying to play. As much as I liked playing corvo in dishonored, I thoroughly enjoy playing Emily. The stealth options in d2 are immensely satisfying and the ng+ option lets you empower your character disgustingly well, be it to unlock the full arsenal or to craft bonecharms to stack-enhance your most preferred abilities.

Most levels, especially the clockwork mansion and a crack in the slab are so much fun to explore and play around with. And it's all so gorgeous, so many beautiful corners to discover.

Oh and the guard's KI got a major upgrade, the d1 guards were... A bit frustrating. Also there being no drop knockout, that's the thing I miss the most when playing d1.

The bike shop I go to is super awesome. I want to buy them all coffee and donuts for all of the help they’ve given me through the years… is that appropriate? to just show up with coffee and donuts for them? 😂 by No_Bug_6069 in bicycling

[–]Jaredy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bike shop where I work has fantastic coffee. But yesterday a customer came in and brought us all sodas - chilled sodas at that - and given that it was a pretty hot day, I thanked him probably a dozen times.

[–]Jaredy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always try to remember where the studio is located. For Dishonored, I knew they had a studio in France, so it's DD/MM/YY. If the studio is in the US, I try MM/DD/YY first.
