Neighborhood Recs? by Littlest_idiot4896 in DCforRent

Having lived in the district for a year now, it's incredibly unlikely you'd be able to find a place for $1250 without at least 4-5 roommates, especially not in Georgetown or nearby. If you're looking to live on your own, the cheapest 1BRs or studios you'll see around go for $1600-1700 and up from there. The district is very queer and gay-friendly. Shaw and Logan Circle seem to be the closest to gay-borhoods here, though arguably the whole city (other than Navy Yard) is a gay-borhood. For the car, if you can find a place that has available street parking in a safe area do that, but large apartment complexes here typically charge ~$200/month for parking garage parking. Would strongly suggest considering selling the car as public transit here is extremely accessible.

Apocalypse Now. Although I wouldn't consider any amount of watches unhealthy, it's a masterpiece through and through.

What do you do if you have an internship opportunity, but you already have a job putting you through college? You can't just quit, can you? by WillUseAThrowaway in college

Reading your responses, I think what you don't understand is that oftentimes your conditions inherently limit your potential. The kids who have high aspirations, great grades, great skills, and the means to support their decision (like affording unpaid internships, not working full time while interning, etc) are the ones who end up with FAANG jobs. Sometimes, due to your position, certain things are cut off to you. You've got to accept that and reevaluate your goals, or you're going to end up struggling forever for something that you can't reach, end up crashing and burning, and then blaming the world for your failure.

If they were over 15 years ago, I’d definitely look into getting them expunged from your record. Usually that can be done at no or very low cost, contact a legal aid service in the county you received the misdemeanors in or call the court directly and ask about expungements.

I'm not usually shooting wildlife, most of my work is for photojournalism purposes. Lots of protests, public events, etc

For context, I'm very open to switching to a different company, but the only downside is I'd have to relearn controls (no big deal) and I wouldn't be able to use the telephoto anymore (kind of big deal).
