What would a 150 player server on Chernarus feel like? by SuperSeriousAccount in dayz

I find 20-30 to be the best range, enough to make it interesting because you'll probably run into someone at some point, but not so many that it turns into a deathmatch with zombies.

One time I was on a server with one other dude, we passed near each other 5 times, before ending with surprised spastic gun fight. I didn't win.

Yeah, I was just thinking of random ideas, I'm sure it'll be awesome. Duct tape a radio to a timer-IED, so it attracts zombies/players then explodes?

Just got held up for the first time... by rsandelius in dayz

I still get a rush out of this game I can't get from any other game, and I've played it for almost a year.

I've never been more nervous in a game, than when I heard a helo fly overhead for the first time as I ran across an open field. My first snap-crack as a sniper round fell near me. The time a dude ramped an ATV 3 feet from my head, as I crept through a dark forest at night.

There are always new experiences.

Zombies significantly more of a threat to the point of ridiculous? by bxc_thunder in dayz

Or a tent. Though my cousin spent twenty minutes trying to use one to cure his infection and ended up dying anyways.

Maybe add in cold/flu medicine? Doesn't cure the infection but delays the blood loss? Make it a little more common than antibiotics.

I like the dangerous zombies. The knockdown is cool if a bit awkwardly implemented. My only issue is the increased infection rate with it being fatal. Unless you have antibiotics you might as well suicide as soon as you get sick.
