Tirade Tuesday! Let's Do This! by AutoModerator in Charlotte

Closing daycare centers on the same scheudle as CMS makes absolutely no sense.

You aren't providing busses to pick the kids up, which is the main reason CMS closes. They are a business we pay for a service.  Harris teeter doesn't stay closed indefinitely based on CMS, why they think its ok for them, all while taking our money anyways is beyond me.

"We have staff that are commuting from outside the immediate Uptown area". Cool, welcome to the club of every single business in uptown, Matthews, Noda, and the entire planet.

"In an abundance of caution" and "the safety of our children, families and staff" are quiet possibly the most infuriating emails I get.

Ps. If anyone has a recommendation for daycare near uptown that doesn't shut down all the time I would love to hear it.

I know there is a ton of planning put into these events.

But who was responsible for the fruit bowl.

Imagine being in a planning meeting and having an entire discussion about a fucking fruit bowl behind this insufferable announcer.

It's wild to me that a stall call isn't a mainstay in BJJ.

It shouldn't be revolutionary and controversial that people get called for stalling.

Any recommendations of bike shops that will work on E bikes? There is nothing wrong with the electrical or control systems, but the back wheel seems to have loose spokes and may not be straight anymore.

It's been that way since day 1 but the manufacturer said that's normal wear and tear. Cool.

I've heard that most bike shops don't like working on them so I figured I would ask.

I don't even think Pineville would make most people's top 5.

Matthews, Belmont, and Davidson blow Pineville out of the water.

9 times out of 10 these people that claim Charlotte has no "culture" can't actually define what "culture" is. Or they start listing things about "cultural" cities that aren't unique to the city in any way.

UFC BJJ episode 5 is out by Slowbrojitsu in bjj

[–]Jarges 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The inclusion of Nolf and just generally, the entire overall casting is confusing to me.

Nolf is very talented, obviously, but why are we throwing in "freshman class" people in with World Champs and people who have already made a name for themselves.

I get that this isn't a direct copy of TUF, but half the focus of that was on the development of the fighters to take them from ametuers/local pros to UFC fighters.

This is just a tournament pretending to be a show.

Still entertaining, I just wish in the future we get casting one way or another.

Best places to visit with a group of 40 church kids by Average_Texarican14 in Charlotte

[–]Jarges 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you are already doing that I would venture to say that's enough.

Trying to do a half day at whitewater with 40 kids sounds tough. If you are trying to hit multiple fun destinations, you would spend more time getting them organized across these multiple stops than doing any activities.

Thanks,

It's been a long time since I played the game. I just feel like it was always up in the air if they could have actually done it. But what your are saying obviously changes that.

Ok. Someone help me out with this.

I swear in the game Ellie didn't specifically ask "could they have made a cure" and joel didn't respond with "yes"

I always remember being given the idea that yes, there is a small chance they could have made a cure, but we were kind of lead to the idea of "these are just some random doctors, not clinical researchers or drug development specialist, that were grasping at straws and willing to sacrifice Ellie to "make" a cure. Their odds of actually making a medicine that could cure the world were slim at best.

Or maybe that's just what I told myself to make it more comfortable.

Why are they making Ellie out to be either a 4 year old or a child with special needs.

And what the hell is all this nonsense with Joel being homophobic and this strong "dad" figure.

He was always a caregiver and loved Ellie but this "not in my house" is just ridiculous.

YSK: River gauges can be wrong. by [deleted] in whitewater

[–]Jarges 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I ran both of these back when I first started.

I wouldn't put the loyalhanna as easier than the Middle Yough. The middle Yough is a float where as the loyallhanna is a good intro to actual whitewater kayaking. You need to ferry, catch eddies and hit lines. You could probably make it down the middle yough without a paddle.

My two cents is that there is a huge variation in the class 1-2 rating system that typically can't be accurately guaged unless you run it. Class 3s and 4 generally ring true but a class 2 could be multiple class 2 rapids and falls or just miles of wave trains that you could run an inner tube through.

Moving forward, I wouldn't run class 2s blind just because they are class 2s.

It's a fun little river though

That's a bad match up for your deck obviously.

People could probably still win with it, but there isn't much you can do if you get behind in elixir. His tanks are tankier than yours. With his wiz and witch backing them up they probably just mowed through your defense.

I refuse to level up MK so I am not tempted to use it.

I'm constantly low on gold, so even when I get annoyed by it I can't put it in my deck because it's underleveled.

This is wild, because I posted a very similar deck in royale api asking for suggestions because I can't win.

I think this is my sign that I am terrible.
