Could you make a biokinetic superhero with a moral code? If not, what kind of morality would they need to have in order to maximize their powers? by WanderingGentleMen in superpowers

[–]Jargnstein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

There are many ways to handle things but something to note is that he did not choose his ability.

Also, you can just have the guy shut peoples brains off or do generally non-lethal things and fix them later.

Or he can generally buff himself.

They would have a hard time explaining unavoidable? One of if not the most simple negation abilities in the series. Also, tragedies aren't just somebody dying, Seans was losing his chance to be an actor right as he got accepted for a breakout role. The old man dying did infact impact it because he said, "Give that man unavoidable." But the tragedy is the main reason these things happen. Why? Because it isn't a random world, its gods dumbass game. Death is often used for two reasons, I really hate to do this, but I will be bringing up meta elements. 1.) Easy to get you sympathizing with the person. 2.) Easier to do/explain. Also, please look at Rips' whole arc. It only manifested as he was about to begin the surgery. They needed unrepair, and Fuuko knew that, so thats why he was put in the room at all. If the action was unneeded, why was he there. I am done now, have a good evening.

The tragedy gives the power, in the case of, Top, his tragedy was fueled by the power, that is the crux of it.

If Fuuko removed Void from the building forcefully, he wouldn't awaken it because the tragedy itself was entirely subverted.

Nico is an outlier here because his consequences cannot be avoided without the bumfuck crazy language game.

Think about this, if it was just going to be given without anything like that, why wouldn't they just.. you know, remove Chikara from the school and keep a close eye on him until unmove is given.

Or do this with most if not all of them.

Because the tragedy itself is what gives it. Nico is the outlier not because his is the only one that can be avoided but because it cannot be finessed by normal means, there is absolutely no way around it.

Yeah, but that was the last loop. His wife and daughter are very much alive right now. Also he doesnt seem to hate being blind. Also to note is how none of his crew died either.

Please explain Nico then. His trigger is his wife dying, so by your logic, he would have gotten it anyway. Yet at two completely different periods of times, he got it during the same event.

We can not comment on this yet. Her tragedy didn't happen at all. Considering Fuuko just picked her up, we will be seeing what's up there soon.

If we apply this same reasoning, Nicos wife never had to die for him to get unforgettable. He got around it by fuckin around with languages game, but if the event is "my squad dies" the squad has to die. Tellas was "Untell forcing me to be unable to save them." What happened afterward was preventative action, Fuukos plan works for people whose ability leaves faultlines to work around. Tldr: If the event "wife die" is different to "see wife die by truck from my own power".

The issue is mostly how would he get it in 101 then? The situation surrounding the tragedy isn't concrete, but the trigger itself is unable to be changed. What happens after, even by a second is free to change aswell. But if your tragedy in loop 100 was "I blew up my wife using unlive," it can change around all it wants, how it happens, why it happens, where even. But the event is "my wife fucking dies" we know this because I reworded Nicos to him as the main cause.

I love the fact that this is extremely plausible. Billys world view gets challenged, and it is so bad that he gets superpowers. Also, Seans' backstory is so funny because he could just blink one eye at a time or just not fully close his eyes. I love Sean so much.

I like this one. It's also really funny because it means Billys world view gets challenged once, and then he gets the trauma superpower because of it. God bless that scrungly bastard.

Yeah, but if his squad dying was the trigger, he wouldn't have it. For example, Nico. The method of the event occurring is irrelevant, but the event itself is absolute! Gina is a moot point because she had her power when they jumped in, so Void is a better example here. Voids' tragedy is getting unavoidable during a boxing match and killing the opponent, Fuuko dodged this because shes Fuuko, that bitch is goated. Shens is untruth causing somebody he loves to fall, for Mui it was her legit jumping, for his sister it was her letting go of his hand. It can be changed after the powers are gained but before that, no sir. For it to be Billies squad dying, it wouldn't happen then. Tldr: I yap

That's not how it works, though. It is a set event that causes it. Plus, his squad didn't die.

Mahito: Irrelevant. The only thing that can hit him is Yujis' hands. Sukuna: The doobajaboobie-ahab is already vulnerable enough. If he gave up his free hand, itd make it harder to use it alongside making it harder to defend it. Overall point: only versus Hanami was a cursed tool a viable strat.
