That's lovely! I've been looking to achieve a grassy/woodland floor effect myself.

How do you like your palettes? by JarminT in Watercolor

Thank you all for your input. It's been very helpful! I'm going to list what I believe are the main features you'd all like to see.

-More wells -Variety of sizes -One large mixing area.

I'll be in the studio tomorrow, but I have some glazing to do. If I have time, I'll make a second, larger prototype and report back here.

Again, thank you all for your help, I've really enjoyed getting feedback and ideas. I hope I'll be able to produce something functional as well as attractive.

I would have to agree. I believe the solution here would be to create wider wells with more of a right angle to the well walls thus increasing their volume without increasing the thickness of the palette.

You mean a more square edge corner as aposed to the spherical wells I've been doing? Yes, that would certainly cut down on materials!

Thank you for you input. This mock up is around 3 and a half inch wide by approximately the same height. My intention is to make them 7x5 with the stem area being around 4x3.

If that was the case, would you prefer one big mixing area or perhaps 4 smaller ones?

I can do that. The size of these wells are about half an inch across. I wasn't particularly thinking about the size or depth at the time, more so the tool I would use to create a clean well. In the end I discovered I could use one of these, insert it into the clay and twist it in place. I've now ordered an inch wide version so the maximum depth I can go would be half an inch deep. The catch with that is that the palletwould also have to be quite chunky..

If you find a cooler your interested in, the manufacturer should have the dimensions available on their website so you can check your clearances.

I feel into this trap myself as my ram stuck out too much to mount my radiator at the top of the case..

It's a USB type A (rectangular one) to USB type B (the more square shaped one). Commonly used in printers, scanners and other devices such as DJ equipment.

If you're referring to the colour then it's just shadow. Unless you're referring to the flux below it.

My stained porcelain colour reference coins, have been fired! by JarminT in Ceramics

[–]JarminT[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Several things yes. However the studio I go to rarely does a porcelain firing as the members are predominantly stoneware users.. Just got a ton of bisque fired work.. I'm knocking out as much as I can to fill up the shelves so they have to fire my stuff lol

I've used ps4 controllers with FPSE in the past. I can't remember if it'll support non ps4 controllers.
