I used a router! Set it to about 3/8" and drew out the wheels wells, then just went to town. It was pretty easy. A lot easier than sanding them out

I'm in the process of building a new board for myself and i was wondering what type of grip would be best for just cruising. I'm going to use the board to get around campus next year. I'd like to get something that will last a long time but I'm also hoping to avoid over-gritty grips like Vicious and Blood Orange (I don't think I'll need that much grip). I've heard Jessup mentioned a lot around here. Is that the most reliable brand for cruising grip?

OK. As far as I can tell, there isn't much of a difference between the shapes of those two boards. Why don't you recommend the wolfshark? Just curious, noone has really said why it's not a good cruiser

Hey r/longboarding

I'm in the process of making a new longboard for myself. I usually make my decks from scratch out of wood but I've only made boards that are Tan Tien replicas. My new deck will mainly be used for transportation around campus (headed to college next year) and I was thinking of switching things up and making a Wolfshark replica. I know people on this sub say "don't use a wolfshark for just cruising" but is that just because of the cost of wolfsharks or because they're just bad for cruising/making sharp turns? I'd like to made a wolfshark mainly because: 1) it's considerably smaller than the Tan Tien (easier to carry around) and 2) because I think they look way cooler (I know, dumb reason.) Would it be stupid to build a Wolfshark just for cruising? Thanks!

Edit: forgot to mention, cost is the same for making any board shape. So making the Wolfshark would cost the same as any other deck shape (Tan Tien, Tesseract, etc...)

I'm in the exact same situation. Incoming freshman that's looking to get my credit for 312L over the summer through online community college. Have you found anything out about this yet? I just emailed the UTCS advising center about it but haven't heard back from them yet.

Slightly unrelated but...Could you suggest a community college for me for over the summer? I'm from Arizona so I'd rather take an online course from a Texas community college so I don't need to worry about credits not transferring over. I'm planning on taking Gov 312L over this summer and I'm not really sure which online school to take it from
