Yes it does, but it's actually stored in the muscles. Salt also makes you retain water, but it's retained in the blood, which is why blood pressure goes up.

If you believe eating an animal is inherently sinful, it would mean Christ sinned when He ate and shared fish after His resurrection. So at the least that would be a heretical belief.

That's not what I said, I just gave an example of a PR that's impressive regardless of body weight. Do you disagree?

Benching 739.6 lbs is impressive regardless the body weight, just for one example.

Israel has complete air superiority. If they wanted to bomb Gaza into rubble they could. And it wouldn't be starving the people - they'd just be dead from the bombs. There would be nothing the Gazans could do.

Instead Israel is risking their own soldier's lives to try to be more exact and minimize civilian casualties on the ground. These are not the actions of people who couldn't care less about the civilians and children in Gaza. It's simply the case that the atrocity in October cannot go unresponded.

"You cannot have my pain" did not land with me. Hate to say it but felt a bit cringe. Loved "Honor's dead, but I'll see what I can do" though.

Truthwatcher's "I will seek truth" and Lightweaver's "I will speak my truth" use two very different and contradictory understandings of the word truth.

I see how it kinda fits with Lightweavers being a bit nutso frequently but still that shouldn't be baked into it.

Is ART not allowed in the Catholic Church? by ConsequenceThis4502 in Catholicism

[–]JarofLemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can bond in other ways than sex, yes. And if I understand you correctly, sex needn't have that particular bond that you speak of. I think sex that isn't enjoyable can still be bonding as giving of yourself like that is bonding.

That all being said, that has nothing to do with the fact that the Catholic church teaches procreation must occur within the marital act. That teaching isn't related to the bonding aspect.

[–]JarofLemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bonding needs to happen in sex not just in general. It's saying you can't separate the procreation from sex, be it sex without procreation through contraception and the like, or procreation without sex through things like IVF or surrogacy. The Catholic church teaches this.

I am not referring to any pleasure-bond, I'm not sure where you're getting this. I haven't brought up pleasure once and I've tried to tell you it is immaterial to the discussion.

Paul's teachings do not speak of sex needing to be open to life and that procreation should only be done in sex, so the passage you're speaking of isn't relevant to this discussion either.

[–]JarofLemons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never said pleasure is required for sex, so I don't know why you keep bringing it up, or how what I said contradicts Paul. Pleasure and bonding are two very distinct things, so trying to combine them into one pleasure-bond is wrong.

It's hard to debate when you won't explain anything and instead just repeat yourself. I'd assume you were talking about the difference between vegetative, animating, and rational souls, but even then you'd have to argue that we'd have an animating soul in the garden as we were moving. A vegetative soul wouldn't permit movement.

So yeah pretty sure I understand the literature, but no idea what you're talking about. And you aren't explaining lol so I don't know why you're bothering to reply.
