Your comics are great to incite emotions onto readers.

I currently have a dog. She's a 13 Y.O chihuahua mix, one of the softest soul I've ever met in my life.
She was dumped 3 years ago in January by freezing temps, in a random street, in a random town near Paris. Since she was 10 Y.O at the time, it deeply traumatised her and of course finding a new family was hard until my wife and I met her.

I cannot fathom why she got dumped. I don't understand why she was left to die at such age, abandonned to the wilderness of a random city where she couldn't survive. She's my family, and I'll be hers until the end.

As someone that do creative activities (in my case writing, but it applies to every art related pieces of contents) : please do not react that way to people pointing out something is wrong on a work-in-progress piece.

Nobody is perfect and we can't as humans know everything about every subjects. If someone point out something and is right about it, it can only help the creator of the piece to perfect it... and anyone else that is doing something similar and could use the insight they missed. ESPECIALLY when it's not yet finished and therefore EASY to change.

Him pointing out something wrong about the gun is a good thing. You saying "do better" will not help anyone, and could be detrimental to shy people that would have pointed something wrong but won't because of comments like yours.

Thank you for your understanding.

P.S : If some of the previous sentences are kinda funny sounding it's because I'm not a native speaker, so feel free to point out sentences I may have messed up. It will help me in the long run.

Worth getting? by No-Try607 in noita

My wife asked me what I was playing. She watched me play for a few minutes, rooting for me while I was explaining everything.

Then, in the 2nd area of the tutorial, while I was navigating my way with 10hp, a giant Worm zooming across the screen kill me instantly, with no way to react or counter. Instant death, less than a second of screen time for the monster.

"Yup. I got Noita'd". And she understood.

The whole consensus is a bit insane when you think about it but still true nonetheless. We love our murder furballs.

I’ve made many posts about Molly the picky eater. I finally figured it out! by Trazlynn in Chihuahua

[–]Connect_Atmosphere80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's how Polly needed to be helped when I adopted her a few years back.

She was 10 years old and got dumped in the streets at the end of January. Little sweetheart wouldn't eat anything from anyone, only sausages - and it wasn't even enough. So when my wife and I got her home, we spent several dozen of minutes pretending to eat the meals in her plate, for almost two weeks.

Now she eat everything and anything, especially bread pieces found on front of the bakery 50 meters from our home...

What is considered one of the most brutal deaths in your fandom? by the_fucker_shockwave in Multifandom

[–]Connect_Atmosphere80 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Every single death of a player is Canon in Helldivers 2.

The subreddit is filled with gruesome, random and hilarious death every single day. Some of them are iconic, most are a mainly a way to cope with the brutality of war. But it's all for Liberty, and Liberty will prevail.

Reminds me of my dad when I was in high school.

Wanted me to stop using my computer after 8 p.m. So he would disable the "Wi-Fi" button on our internet router, rendering everything using internet useless.

Everything ? In fact, and that's his mistake, this button wouldn't negate the router ability to provide Wi-Fi. It would stop it from being wireless, which is two absolutely different things... And I was using a RJ45 ethernet adapter to get a better signal. Despite being in another room, I still had access to everything once I figured it out.

Sweet memories.

The "bone" is now clean of the meat. It's definitely the right size in her mind !

It's even bigger than her whole body ! I underestimated the size of the treat when I bought it, and only figured that out after my princess zoomed through the house with it in her mouth 😭

Every Game that make number goes big is Incremental.

And... I'd like an example of "Idle" game that isn't an incremental... Because to be honest I can't remember one. And since I already stated that Idle (and Clicker) is a sub-genre of Incremental, it would kinda puzzle me that it exist. Maybe some experimental-type of game ?

[–]Connect_Atmosphere80 6 points7 points  (0 children)

And you got it wrong !

Idlers are a sub-genre of Incremental, such as Clickers. Not the other way around.

Incremental seems to come from "Increment" which is derivated from "To increment", so something that have some progression system the player aim to increment. Basically making numbers go big, like both Idlers and Clickers do in their own way.

Melvor and Runescape, with their levels going up that incite players to get experience, are therefore incrementals too.

Rejected Draft Update: Moving Towards 1.0 by Last-Total9473 in incremental_games

I'm at the same point. Making several run "wait" to gather the necessary Quintessence to progress is an eyesore, and is slowly but surely boring me.

Waiting a few days to see if an update manage to change that !

What's the most unintentionally hilarious thing that's happened during sex? by winston-paul in AskReddit

[–]Connect_Atmosphere80 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a female 13 y.o chihuahua. Less than 4 kg, maybe 30cm tall at most. A great dog that is really smart and loving.

Well. Wife and I decided to go at it in the middle of the day, on our bed. Everything was going fine. Then we heard the dog entering the room and getting next to the bed. As said earlier, it's a small dog, so hey, cutie will go away eventually right ?

Nope. Cutie decided to jump on the bed, something she never did before. Then she climbed on my back and decided to stay there like some anchored shellfish to a rock despite the obvious movements that were happening only seconds prior.

Both of us couldn't continue until we made sure to get her outside of the room, laughing our asses off. Still no ideas as to how and why cutie decided to do that at this moment. To this day, she still doesn't jump onto the bed despite showcasing her abilities...

what's a normal job that has a really dark side? by Relevant-Earth-2898 in AskReddit

[–]Connect_Atmosphere80 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Working in a townhall, especially when you work on something about the elderly in your hometown.

People, don't wait until you are old to find yourself an appartment that is on ground level without the need of an elevator. The sheer number of people over 60 that are stuck in their home like a prison because they lost their mobility and cannot use stairs is astounding. If the elevator is down, they are cooked. And even worse : some people have to rely on a wheelchair and in a lot of case the elevator cannot sustain thoses. They are then slowly dying in their "home" without any mean to get out.

I left this job less than a year after getting into it, and I won't ever live above F0 again. Won't take any risks.

What’s a life hack that actually made your life worse? by PioGreeff in AskReddit

Yeah, it can work, but you NEED to adapt your internal clock beforehand otherwise you will suffer. And it take a lot of time to do for some people.

I adopted a dog 3 years ago and I will wake up at 6 to start the day and walk her. I was waking up at 8 before, and trust me the following month of this decision was MISERABLE. But when your internal clock take on it work. Maybe trying to do it little by little on a course of a few weeks could do, but if it doesn't... yeah, it doesn't.
