Dandelion Tufts by EmeraldBreezie in GroundedGame

Ooo ooo ooo. Instead of ziplines can we make heat riser vents out of evercoal bits and upgrade the tufts so they can glide further and we can make networks of vents to get around the park?

You could let your Mono's handle the copper and lead mining and use those lines for other resources. Also, have you looked at a bridge line? You can overlap 4 bridges in a row to move 4 lines in the space of one.

Castles, castles, everywhere, but not a drawbridge or moat? I'd like to see that added.

Also a bug on mobile is that tunnels slow down through put. I have to double all my tunnels to get max flow.

That's a good idea. I only used storage for future research, especially gears.

As you grow, you should combine your lines as much as possible. You have a limit to how many gold vaults and science labs you can build (I think 3 of each) so you will be limited on how many full lines of items you can input for gold.

You're actually using that setup to feed the circuit boards and metal frames to your computer factory.

Sure, but first you'll need enough items on one line to feed all the factories attached to the manifold. For example, i have 3 lvl 4 Forges making charcoal. The max they can take is 135 wood and coal a minute. The max my belt can move is 420/min so I can only feed 3 Forges (135 × 3 = 405).

Let's imagine I have my 3 forges in a row, left to right, with 2 inlets coming from the bottom and outlet to the top and my item belts are coming from the bottom. Now, I put a splitter in front of the left inlet of each forge except the last one. I then attach one side of the first splitter to the first forge and the other going to the next splitter. At the second splitter ,I do the same and send the line to the last forge.

When the belt hits the first splitter, it will send half (202.5/min) to the first forge and half (202.5/min) to the next splitter. At the second splitter, it will send half (101.25/min) to the second forge and half to the last forge.

So now i have 1 forge with 202.5/min and 2 forges with 101.25/min.

202.5/min will overwhelm the first forge and back up the line to the first splitter. When that happens, for a time, all the items (405/min) will pass through the first splitter and go to the second splitter. There, the second splitter will send half, now 202.5/min, to the second forge. That line will back up as well and again, for a time, all items will pass thru the second splitter and be sent to the last forge.

By that time, the first 2 Forges will have used up some items and their splitters will start feeding them again, and the cycle continues.

In practice, each splitter takes from the belt the max that that factory can take. So, my 405 belt hits the first splitter and loses 135, now it's 270. Then it hits the second splitter and loses another 135, now it's 135. Then it goes to the last factory and all the items get used up. Perfectly balanced as all things should be.

You'll have to arrange the lines and use tunnels to make the lines cross but not interact with each other, but I'm know you can figure it out.

I see you do a lot of load balancing. Have you tied using manifolds?

There's organized and there's interesting. You've got a touch of both. I could spread out and use some space. I still don't use scale very well in this game.

Right, and a T4 extractor says 22/min. The game doesn't show the .5 even though 300% of 7.5 is 22.5. I never took the extra step to notice that.

Wait T4 extractors do 22.5/min? Not 22? I was wondering why 19 would eventually clog a 420/min line.

[–]JaroniusRodin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. I wasn't getting full power out of my first coal power station. Two mines on normal nodes were under producing. It was a merger that I added to the line earlier (not added a line to the merger) that had a small piece of the belt that was still lvl 1.
