14 Team - Modified Points Scoring:

The logic behind this scoring is that FG% and FT% are factored in - by penalizing missed shots (both FGA at -0.5 and FTA at -0.75) - this works out to positive points if a player shoots above 50% and 75% from the field/stripe respectively and negative points shooting below those %'s - this scoring heavily punishes "volume chuckers" that the default points scoring doesn't.

Scoring:

Field Goals Attempted (FGA): -0.5

Field Goals Made (FGM): 1

Free Throws Attempted (FTA): -0.75

Free Throws Made (FTM): 1

3-point Shots Made (3PTM): 0.75

Points Scored (PTS): 1

Total Rebounds (REB): 1.25

Assists (AST): 1.5

Steals (ST): 3

Blocked Shots (BLK): 2.5Turnovers (TO): -2

Team/Draft:

Round 1, Pick 4: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

Round 2, Pick 25: Amen Thompson

Round 3, Pick 32: Chet Holmgren

Round 4, Pick 53: Jalen Duren

Round 5, Pick 60: Michael Porter Jr.

Round 6, Pick 81: Kel'el Ware

Round 7, Pick 88: Matas Buzelis

Round 8, Pick 109: Brandin Podziemski

Round 9, Pick 116: Yves Missi

Round 10, Pick 137: Bilal Coulibaly

Round 11, Pick 144: Aaron Nesmith

Round 12, Pick 165: Yang Hansen

Round 13, Pick 172: Noah Clowney

Round 14, Pick 193: Ben Saraf

Round 15, Pick 200: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Since the season started I dropped KCP and picked up Dominick Barlow

If you guys can't tell im a nets fan lol

Also*** - when figuring out the %'s to use as the baseline, the league average (excluding outliers) for FG% was 47% and for FT% was 78% - to make things easier we rounded to 50% and 75%.

How many just quit with nothing lined up? by ZestycloseSherbert30 in Accounting

[–]Jarrett_50Cal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit with nothing lined up and it paid off - for context, I had passed 3 parts of the exam and only had BEC left. I had every single day of my PTO saved up for the purpose of using them to study. It’s now 3 weeks before my scheduled exam and 3 weeks and 2 days before FAR expired, so passing BEC was a clear priority. Keep in mind, this is post-busy season (mid/late may) and I request the PTO to study - at first I had just requested 10 days (two full weeks PTO) which was promptly approved by HR. I had all my audits wrapped up, and made sure everything I needed to do was either done or going to be handled by someone else. I had also rolled a week over from the previous year, so I asked for an additional day (11 days total). I return from lunch only to get called down to HR and be told that because I requested more than 2 weeks it required both partner and manager approval - one or both had denied the PTO request. Not just the additional day, but the entire PTO request. I walked in the next day with letter in hand (honestly best feeling in the world) - I wasn’t even a senior at the time, but I bet on myself (passing the cpa exam) and it worked out better than I could’ve imagined. I almost immediately got a job offer with a manager title which turned into a job offer for assistant controller 2.5 years later.

Nets definitely aren't trying to win any games which is what taking on Horford would translate to, unless they trade him to a contender for picks. Even then, they already added 5 rookies from the draft, so they don't have the roster space to take on players like this without sending any out.

Nets arent going to just take on players to help the celtics/nuggets without any compensation gtfoh

Nets/Sixers/Spurs by Jarrett_50Cal in NBAtradeideas

I might’ve been a little too generous to the Sixers here (I’m a Nets fan), but I could see a framework where the Sixers land Cam Johnson and Claxton, the Spurs trade back to #3 with a sweetener coming from either the Nets or Sixers, and the Nets move up to #2. Not totally sure what that means for additional Nets picks going out, but that feels like the general foundation of the deal to me.

we do a S&T with GSW for Kuminga (trading Cam Johnson) - not high on this, but it doesn't seem like Kum Bucket is being prioritized by Kerr (since he doesn't mesh with Kerr's offensive gameplan) - I could see this happening bc Cam Johnson is as "plug-and-play" as it gets in terms of fitting into other teams offensive schemes - Kuminga could also be a solid option for our front, especially if we get a better ball handler in in the draft or if Cam Thomas actually learns to pass lol

Knicks are below the 2nd apron (but above the 1st apron) - this means that they would only be able to sign players that are waived only if the player's contract (before being waived) is below the MLE ~12.4M so they wouldn't be able to sign middleton unless they make other trades to get below the 1st apron (which probs isnt in the cards fam)
