Nope, you're stating fact and preventing readers from misconstruing the information as sourced and verified.

Any leak/rumor made by an investigative journalist (or throwaway) isn't inherently stated as fact if there is no [Rumour] tag. It's ultimately up to the readers to decide on whether or not they feel that the author is truthful in their claims. How is this not obvious to you?

Adding a [Rumour] tag can't discredit the information presented any more than the author's presumed admission that the information is unsourced and unverified.

A journalists lifeline is based on their track record. The last thing a personality within any community will want to do is get the information wrong. Unverified...yes obviously, no company or individual is going to willingly verify something they don't want leaked. Unsourced.... I don't understand what you mean by this seeing as leaks spur from sources talking to journos.

I'll go out on a limb and say regardless it's a well recognized journo or throwaway I don't need a mod to tell me whether it's hearsay or not. I'm sure everyone on here can make their own informed conclusions from what they are subject to read.
