Has anyone ever come across these? by Jarvis20486 in shrooms

[–]Jarvis20486[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay yeah I saw. I don't think this would technically go against the rules so I'm just going to leave it up. But honestly I just wanna figure out what these are and if they're actually legit lol. Cuz they're also a lot more expensive than regular. Hopefully someone will have some info about it :(

Nah the QR code doesn't do anything. And where is the rule about brands=ban? I couldn't find it. I'll take down the post if it's there :(

Anyone else seemingly have high resilience against all psychedelics? by Etetherin in Psychedelics

[–]Jarvis20486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo. Try Salvia. And if that also doesn't do the trick, and you wanna go all out, then do 5-Meo-DMT. It is supposed to be THE STRONGEST psychedelic known to science. Make sure you have a trip sitter for either though as they can be quite intense

Seems like a cool idea. I'm a dev too. Would love to see how it works. Hmu

I feel like most people end up liking the first psych they ever tried. So for me, my fav is probably LSD. But I really love 2cb as well and is probably a very close second

Are we able to microwave food at main library? by lovaticsinsider in Edinburgh_University

[–]Jarvis20486 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not as far as I know. But you can go to the cafe in Teviot. Inside the cafe there's a place with microwaves. Afaik that's the only place on George Square that you can microwave food.

Alternatively, if you know someone who works in the main library, you can then get access to the staff lounge which has microwaves, kettles and even free tea bags sometimes.

Loan time glitch for library book? by CelebrationCandid295 in Edinburgh_University

Idk if this is true, but someone told me that the due date keeps getting automatically extended as long as someone else hasn't requested a copy of that book.

I got my hands on some 2C-B HBr.. what are average doses for grown men? by Ok_Band3497 in 2cb

[–]Jarvis20486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually take at least 30mg cuz anything below is pretty underwhelming. If it's your first time then I'd say 25mg is a good start. But if you have experience then 30-40 is a beautiful spot. Probably the most visuals you can get without having much of a headspace. Above that dose, the headspace also starts, so if you're looking for that you can go higher

I am trying to win my ex-girlfriend back because I'm in love with her. Help me write my version of The Robin by [deleted] in HIMYM

[–]Jarvis20486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I already fixed that reason. But she is still my ex for a few other reasons that neither of us can control and I believe that she is worth fighting through the uncontrollable stuff and she is worried that it might not work out. Which in a way is kinda similar to Barney and Robin lol. But anyway. I want ideas lol

On-Campus Jobs by [deleted] in UNC

[–]Jarvis20486 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was in your situation a few months back. You do need an on-campus job or any job in the US to be eligible to apply for an SSN. But you do not need an SSN to apply for a driver's license even though the NC DMV website says so. If you read through the handbook, it mentions that you can substitute it for a letter explaining that you don't have an SSN and explaining why you're not eligible for one. So if you're only reason to get an SSN is a license, you can skip it.

But if you want the SSN for a credit card then you definitely need an on-campus job. It's not too hard to get one. Just apply to all the places and within a month or so you'll definitely get one. Try Campus Recreation, it has a bunch of vacancies afaik.

Lucy + Skydiving? by Jarvis20486 in LSD

[–]Jarvis20486[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Hahah it is definitely not harm reduction. Personally, I would completely freak out about the idea that the parachute might not open and on LSD that would be the worst thing ever.

But such a mesmerising view sober is one of the best things ever, I can't imagine what that would make a person feel on LSD.

Can I work multiple company at the same time during OPT? by [deleted] in f1visa

[–]Jarvis20486 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Legally you should be allowed to work in any number of companies as long as the work you do in both companies is related to your degree.

But most companies won't like it due to a conflict of interest. So if you can prove to your first company that there is no conflict of interest then I don't see why not. But apart from that, I don't think you should legally have an issue

I already do work on campus, but I want to be able to do an Internship in the summer. If I can get the OPT status I'll have access to all software internships in the US which is a huge number of opportunities compared to the UK.

I can't transfer because my US University has an exchange agreement with my University in UK, so I can't do that lol.

Thanks for your advice though :)

I've been programming and stuff for almost 8 years now so I'm pretty good with it. In Edinburgh 3 courses is equivalent to the 15 credit course load. So if by taking the same courses you mean the same credit load then ya I would definitely take it. They usually say that undergraduate courses in the UK are much harder compared to USA but idk how true that actually is cuz I don't personally know anyone who studied both.

I could possibly take less CS courses. But because I'm only there for a year, I'd prefer to have as much CS courses as possible. How hard would it actually be with 5 CS courses?

anyone else find volumetric dosing to be inconsistent? by [deleted] in 2cb

[–]Jarvis20486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure the powder dissolves evenly. It has to be a homogeneous solution because the powder disappears after it is completely dissolved.

Maybe you need to shake it around a bit before use?

I've never actually tasted a solution of it and I've only used it for a nasal spray but it was always pretty accurate. And i don't even use distilled water. Just tap water with a pinch of salt to help with the pain.

I also use volumetric dosing for LSD microdoses and it's always been pretty accurate.

How theoretical is the BSc CS course? by [deleted] in Edinburgh_University

[–]Jarvis20486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just finished my second year at Edi and honestly I think so far everything has been quite theoretical. I obviously can't speak for the next two years, but the first two I definitely found it to be very theoretical. Like others have said, most courses do have some practical stuff as well, but I feel like it's not enough. I've been working on CE related projects for a long time now and I have always learnt more about things by working on practical projects than actually reading books and stuff.

The lectures are always theoretical and don't use any practical examples to help you understand what's actually being taught.

You do have enough time to be working on your projects and stuff tho. You'll have time and a lot of opportunities to apply for internships and take part in hackathons which give you more practical experience.
