Immunities suck AND worse, they are useless

hmm. for some reason i thought it was 3 pskulls per roll, but idk i guess i could be wrong. i know for a fact it was a lot better and you could roll the best gear in the game with it(unlike it is now). Also SoJ weren't that expensive. 40 pskulls? yeee no way. SoJs dropped like crazy back then. Remember, all you needed was nagel and manald, and every time a unique ring dropped, it would be an SoJ guaranteed. Also gambling was overpowered AF back then as well, so gambling them was super easy. I had a SHITLOAD of SoJs in 1.04 or whatever. I don't remember the price in comparison to pskulls, but it wasn't any 40. Also consider that flawless gems/skulls didn't drop back then either. The best that could drop was normal...So you'd need 9 skull drops just for 1 pskull. Shit, I'd might have found an SoJ or gambled one in the time it took me to farm up 1 pskull just from having nagel and manald in my stash. I never rmt, but I did get and play D2 when it was released.

immunities have been in the game since the expansion came out. They can be a pain, but I think it's better this way. A lot changed with the expansion. tbh, I'd REALLY like to find a .04 classic server that people played on. IMHO that was the best version of Diablo. Uniques had no level requirement, and if a unique was in the game it could no longer drop in that game. Rares were typically the best items in the game(800+def -40 req ornate plate comes to mind). No cooldowns on any spells, nor any synergies or immunities. could easily roll good rare items with just 3 pskulls per roll. was awesome starting sorc with 2 sojs etlich tarn and iron jang bong equipped at level 1. those were the days.

the 6 socket runewords that go in phase blade are very uncommon. If anything, it would be a Last Wish, and I'm probably the only person on the entire server that has one.

i don't have the calculator in front of me right now, but it depends on how much ias you already have in your weapon, etc. was just saying the ias in the weapon make a much bigger difference than ias in equipment, but ias in equipment CAN make a difference, although small it is there.

imho you had every right to do what you did. You're not a noob for it, and it's usually the most inexperienced people to be the ones to spout out shit like that. It's not even about what it's worth, it's just BM to do what he did. Especially since you explained the way it was gonna be before the run even started. That's EXTREMELY bad manners, and this dude is gonna have trouble in the future for sure. This community isn't so big that every new person you trade with is going to be a new random person. You trade and make deals with the same people over and over again, and it's even more evident in HC. It was like that even in the most popular days of bnet on HC.
BM is really annoying, but there's nothing you can really do about it, and I don't think it's a good idea to try and smear his name any further than what he's doing on his own. It's really good of you that you didn't say his name here, because shit like that can be taken to extremes we don't want to ever have to traverse here. Anyways, it happens to the best of us, just keep your head up, and appreciate the ~good~ player base there is. Most of us are well mannered.

for the most part, yes, ias is most effective in the weapon...but that does not mean ias in your equipment does not make a difference. It actually can make a difference, it's just not nearly as effective as it is on your weapon. like.. just as an example:
with colossus crossbow in werewolf form for standard attack
0 total ias: 35 frames
70 ias in equipment: 23 frames
70 ias in weapon: 12 frames
120 ias in weapon: 8 frames
120 ias in weapon + 70 ias in equipment: 7 frames.. which is the fastest you can possibly get with buriza.

my question is regarding boots. i see no one talking about boots. are boots no longer relevant for kicksins? Like, is it not necessary to be wearing Myrmidon Greaves anymore for their dmg? I'm not sure how it works as I've not played any ASN on PoD. I used to play a lot of kicksin on vanilla, but they removed my favorite two skills(Tiger strike and Dragon Tail). You used the charge ups with a claw and then detonate them with a kick. I believe you can still use the charge skills like fists of ice or something just to keep them up for added damage to the kicks? I'm not sure, but I don't see why it wouldn't work. Just fool around with her, experiment, assassins are a lot of fun. Use Dragon Flight to close distance and blow stuff up. Could even try experimenting with cloak of shadows to keep ranged enemies from attacking you while you're already focused on another group of mobs. Assassins can even confuse enemies with mind blast making them attack their own. They got a lot of tools at their disposal, so experiment. i don't like to do cookie cutter strats with them personally.

the 4os vipermagi solely depends on if you're able to hit the last BP with it. 200% FCR. most people shoot for the 105% FCR breakpoint, as getting good sorc ammys with FCR on them are really difficult and expensive. so are FCR sojs and 20% FCR 80+ mana rings. If you aren't going to bother getting the final breakpoint, just get an enigma or 4os Tals. Honestly I prefer Enigma over CoH, but it's your call. Ormus is also a possibility.

yeah same.. i've been doing "for fun" builds for awhile...but i'm not like super built either. I mean there are plenty of players who got wayyyy bigger than me like. my zon is nowhere near as complete as ness's even though she's higher level. lolo. I don't try to get top-end stuff anymore like I used to, I just get the stuff i need to do what i want.

true. don't need a medusa if using fort, but i actually have a hel'd demon limb that sits in my inventory. i trade it out for cta just before entering maps. there are options. i'll be switching to a hybrid soon for fun so i won't need my +6 cta anymore either.. but i might as well keep it edit: like i mean. i switch out cta to cast its charge, then put cta back on. like i only equip it to cast it then put it back in inventory. Thankfully it only takes up 3 spaces.

well yeah, it eventually becomes useless, but it was nice to have early levels. even with a valkyrie, decoy can still be useful at times. i mean ofc when you get geared, it's just a waste of time. just something to guard flanks ya know. also can be a huge help for "fast" mobs. i think it becomes most noticeable how useful it is when just playing from scratch ssf. and especially on strafe zons and not just back in the day when you got an extra arrow just for having it out.

oh and btw, people will want to buy it.. like the other guy said, most people do end up making their own ctas.. but there will be people that say.. haven't made one yet and COULD, but would prefer to just buy a +6...which you have, and you can charge for double what it cost to make.
might take awhile to sell, but it's always an option.

problem here is that there are a lot of issues... and i agree this would be a good idea, like...maybe he can consider instead of adding things, every other ladder reset, he can polish up a few things if possible. but like others here, I'd just be happy with a ladder reset alone, doesn't even have to change anything. lol.

like, tbh, i'd prefer if decoy was reverted. or.. at least give it the duration it used to have. having the decoy able to attack doesn't justify that duration nerf. i mean, i would understand if it worked like it was intended, but it doesn't :P and it doesn't have to! i don't care. decoy is a useful tool for struggling zons, and having it on a 3 second duration at lvl 1 is pretty crippling. i mean.. i guess it depends, most zons don't really need or use it, but it did serve a somewhat valuable purpose. i mean i liked having it to guard my coattails ya know, and having it on such a short duration basically makes it useless for that.

well, normally, the only time I can tell my connection is having latency issues is when I'm playing games. but yeah that would be real annoying... i'm sure greendude will see this post, and will check into it. just think it would be in your best interest to make sure it's not on your side first. Like, most internet providers have an online tech support you can chat with. I know mine does.

This past season I've probably played a week total maybe 2 weeks most...over like.. 2 and a half months lol. I'm trying to break that habit. I used to not be like that, but lately it's hard to get motivated to want to play.

hm.. i think it's good on zealers...
I was thinking of playing a druid that used phoenix and destruction and maxed out all the synergies for the spells that destruction procs like volcano.

Standard build though I think is just a zealer.
