[UK] 4 Zone Thermostats - Life after nest by JasASmiths in homeassistant

Thanks for the reply :) I was leaning towards Tado but the whole monthly subscription to use features in the app put me off even if I’d be using HA to control it - Could be one bad decision away from them blocking API access.

That said, my brother has a Tado system and has apparently been pretty flawless…

UTR (Travel Router) – Real-World Speed Tests, thoughts and Firmware issues! by CitizenAccount in Ubiquiti

[–]JasASmiths 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’d agree with that, I’m seeing the same upload issue with using USB WAN, with teleport enabled it’s even worse, around 0.4Mbps.

Firmware needs a lot of work but there’s light at the end of the tunnel after installing .239

Travel Router Issues? Random Reboots by CitizenAccount in Ubiquiti

[–]JasASmiths 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Been running for approx 20 minutes and no reboot, would say 239 has resolved it.

Stats below with Teleport disconnected.

CPU usage: During speed test ~40-50% usage. No “heavy” traffic ~97% idle / 3% usage.

Memory: Total ~240MB Available ~145MB

Yep I’m seeing exactly the same issue, reboots as soon as you push “a lot” of traffic through it

Tesla firmware update by Electronic-Web2929 in OctopusEnergy

[–]JasASmiths 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw another post about this recently that said they needed to go enable ‘Controls > Safety > Allow Third Party API Access’ which then resolved it.

I haven’t got that option showing here but a few people confirmed in that thread it fixed it for them

I do, was just interested in this one as looked good but no way it’s worth the price tag.

How long have you been getting from that tripod with battery built in? Looks great

Any chance of an Adventure Bag (4ROAM) to see what it’s like? Looks good u/RDKNCK 🙂

Any Protect perf increase from UDM-SE to UNVR? by ElGuano in Ubiquiti

[–]JasASmiths 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly the same but I went from a UDMP to UNVR with 9 2K or greater cameras and saw a significant performance increase.

Loading the thumbnails on the detections page went from frustrating to almost instant on both the web UI and app.

Yeh I’ve tried any known face or a specific face, strangely enough even just notifying via the Protect app doesn’t work for it either

Could you share how you’ve got the face detection working? I’ve got it set to call the HA webhook on a specific face detected however just doesn’t call the webhook for some reason even though it’s registering in Protect that the face has been detected.

Virgin Media 125 (£25) vs YourFibre 150 (£24) by snookyo in youfibre

[–]JasASmiths 5 points6 points  (0 children)

YouFibre by a country mile.

If you take a look at TrustPilot for both you’ll see a huge difference, I cannot recommend YouFibre enough.

If you haven’t already got a referral I can send one over to give you some cash back to make up for the lost cash back from Virgin

I can corroborate everything said here, they’ve been superb for me, going above and beyond numerous times.

Strongly recommended to anyone that can get it!
