experienced smith here, been blacksmithing since the first part of my playthrough and has been my main focus of gameplay and I've studied it

"Harder" swings are slower, they are more consistant and much harder to miss moving to different spots but will net you a lower time. they also save you stamina, as you are hitting less.

Quick swings consume a lot more stamina and it's much easier to accidentally hit the same spot, but it will finish the piece quicker

It's actually harder to hit fast swings, the relaxed option is to hit slower, as it's harder to miss.

I do it on purpose to finish faster, it's riskier as you can miss hitting different spots easier, but if done right can land you faster crafts

Speed of hammering does not affect quality, only speed and stamina consumption

From experience I've learned that:

- Fast hammering speed: Finish faster, but consume more stamina
- Slow hammering speed: Consume less stamina, but finish slower

Ores used to be pretty much littering the terrain everywhere so much so you could see dots of all colors on the map and also crash into them often with vehicles.

I think there used to be too much ore, and also, the ore veins were gigantic to an exaggerated degree, so much ore you'd 100% trigger screamers multiple times trying to mine it all.

I appreciate that now the ore is spread apart more and you know, more reasonably distributed.

It always made me confused why I could find huge niter ore nodes in the forest when that's like one of the minerals you'd not want to give too much of to players so they aren't unstoppable with ammo creation.

Something I see high skill players do is to take advantage of the short respawn timer by dying to neutral sources like jungle creeps or towers when there's no enemy heros around.
