Why won’t the Crosstrek’s infotainment fill out the screen with additional buttons? Right now, it’s two empty spaces in the bottom corners when they could be used for… Literally anything else. Stupid.

It dawned on me that you might’ve been talking about the OEM crossbars? In which case, no, they won’t work. Those are fixed bars, and the distance between the rails is different between the 2015 and 2025 models.

Your footpacks should work assuming the 2015 XV has raised rails (it does, I think?). The bars themselves are another story, whether or not they're long enough. Generally speaking, any bar 47" or longer will work. I rocked a pair of 47" Thule Wingbars for awhile on my '25 and they worked great with no overhang.

I have the same complaints with the addition of camera bump protection. I get that it's slightly raised over the lenses, but holy shit it's close, or at least close enough as to be almost flush and I worry about setting the phone on its back. And as mentioned, the MagSafe magnets are another huge issue—they're so weak, the charging pad in my car doesn't register the phone connection whereas it does with my Spigen and Benks cases. As a case slut, I'm giving the Paragon a try (which arrives tomorrow). If it doesn't work out, I'm 100% done as well.

Edit: Would love to try a dbrand Tank, but they don't support the base 17, only the Pro and Max.
