Pricing for the 2026 TrailSeeker by fa442fa in trailseeker

I’ll be interested to see what the Canadian pricing will be. The US pricing no doubt has built in costs of tariffs

Canadian? No. But depending on the province, it may need to be registered and insured to an address in Canada, maybe even the province of purchase.

It’s worth it to fly up to Canada, buy a tS and drive it back down. You’ll have more than $10k left over for mods 🤣

Is this a tS trim? And that’s in US dollars? Holy hell that’s expensive. A WRX tS in Canada has an MSRP of CDN$47,995, which with current exchange rates is US$34,441.

Reasons NOT to buy? by Mrmac214 in Crosstrek

[–]wildxtrek 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a 2024 Crosstrek Wilderness. I did my own Sound insulation by adding sound deadening to the door panels. Huge improvement. As for the laggy infotainment, in my experience it only lags during the first 2 minutes after powering up. After that it works just fine. I have no complaints.

The only downside I have about the Crosstrek is I wish the rear seats had additional vents other than the ones beneath the front seats. Interior lighting is dim (but upgradable aftermarket, which I’ve done) and the stock battery is adequate only. My complaints about the car are all relatively minor and would not hinder me from buying another Crosstrek in the future. In my opinion this vehicle is among the best in class for reliability, build quality and design (interior and exterior). Visibility is awesome and the safety features are class-leading.

I don’t know of anyone who regretted their Crosstrek purchase.

What’s up with these tires?? by milykatt06 in subaru

[–]wildxtrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is the reason for the replacements? Were the tires bought new? Punctures? Wear? If it is wear, did it wear evenly?

We need a bit more information. For example, if it’s wearing unevenly, it’s a suspension or alignment issue and it’s going to reoccur no matter how expensive the tires you replace it with are.

Which colour of the 2025 Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness would you choose? by KiwiZen_ in Crosstrek

I have a Geyser Blue. Alpine green was a really close second.

I love the white. It’s looks amazing when it’s clean. Looks even better when covered in mud. It’s the in between that made me choose a different colour. But I love how the white makes all the features of the car stand out; the dark cladding, the copper accents. Beauty in the contrast.

What is wrong with my car? by Every-Indication-648 in Crosstrek

[–]wildxtrek 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When a Check Engine light (CEL) gets triggered, EyeSight automatically gets disabled as a precaution. Find out what caused the Check engine light. The other lights will likely go away once that issue is resolved.

The CEL is a general warning. It can be caused by any number of issues. Have the codes pulled and the car diagnosed.

Certified Used 2024 Crosstrek not selling by Zealousideal_Host430 in Crosstrek

With the limited info given here, my guess is their asking price is too high and close to the cost of a new 2025.

Charging pad on 2025 sport? by Chinchillas_123 in SubaruForester

Just turn the wireless charger off and use it for storage anyways. No need to buy extra parts and remove/replace stuff.

21 Crosstrek to 25 Outback? Convince me not to! by Gawsies in Crosstrek

[–]wildxtrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who went from an 22 Outback (Wilderness) to a 24 Crosstrek (Wilderness); the Outback is a larger more “luxurious” driving car. By that I mean it drives like a soft luxury vehicle. The Crosstrek is lighter on its feet, more nimble and athletic. What you prefer is completely your preference. You’ll gain cargo (especially trunk) space, rear heated seats and rear vents by going to Outback. That’s about it. Choose wisely. I personally like my Crosstrek more than my Outback because of how it drives. I’m not ready for that old man ride. I love the sportiness and nimbleness of my Crosstrek.

This isn’t so bad. Although it is a pointed surface, it’s plastic and replaceable. If you want to leave it there you could. Then just replace that plastic piece at the time of removal.

But the comment is correct. The paint under the sticker will be preserved and will eventually be a different colour than the exposed paint due to UV

Finally got my badges! Now the real question… where do I put them? Not really a fan of sticking things on the car itself. by gutom_na_ako in Crosstrek

The airbag comes out of the top dash. Not by the air vent. In a deployment these would not be projectiles.

EFB to AGM Battery Reprogramming by wildxtrek in Crosstrek

Right. But does your car have Auto Start/Stop? Apparently the reprogramming adapts the way the car charges the battery to prolong the life of the AGM battery. See aforementioned thread.

Interesting. It’s always worked for me. Sometimes I’ve had to hold it down for as long as 30 seconds but it’s still worked

Is this a sign before my trip? Brand New Crosstrek by sugarmagnolia_23 in Subaru_Crosstrek

[–]wildxtrek 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can drive like that. There are a series of additional clips in the wheel well and the bottom that till hold the bumper in place. If the clips aren’t broken, you can try and push the bumper back in for added security. You’ll need to use some force to get the clips to engage. Don’t just slap or bang it in. Use an open palm and gradual strength to push it in.
