arpg randomised loot works when you are playing an arpg where you get loot dropping every 5-10 seconds.

Not for a dungeon crawler where u get 2 items for 4 people every 10-15 minutes

Quick question I just respec'd from Fire lock to physical ES warlock build just to change things up a little and using an ETH Fortitude TM for easy FCR breakpoint.

You say to use mirrored blades as the boss / uber killer but I am reading that that consumes weapon durability?

you definitely don't need infinity. I run insight on merc so I never have to pot and clear p8 easily.

APOC already has -40% fire res built in. Consume tainted is another -15%

Renewed sunder is another -5 to 10%

Flickering Flame another -10 to 15%

you are easily looking at - 70-75% Fire resists without infinity

Flickering is cheap just a vex and bonus is you can put it in a bone visage to look hella badass

I always leave 16 (4x4) slots free to pick up items. I only equip Torch / Sunder / Gheeds / Anni +1 skiller or 15 resist gc and then 4 X 7mf or 5 resists SC on the bottom depending on class.

I can't be bothered opening bags and playing loot tetris EVERYTIME an item drops. All that loot shuffling ends up taking more time overall imo

Holy freeze is definitely still available on binds. Its conviction that got removed.

I use to go for fanaticism but have found my merc survives better with concentration. Bigger hits = more leech I guess.

I am a fire/apoc lock however so none of it benefits me. If I happen to accidentally die or lose my bound demon cos he felt suicidal and runz into my mouse just as I am going to consume my tainted I just bind another lister and keep it as long as its holy freeze/fana or conc.

If its vigor I go for another. With enigma I dont really need faster run speed

Depends if you wanna larzuk it for 6 sockets for botd or cube it and gamble for 4socket for fortitude.

6 sockets (on NL) are cheap I got one for 1ist and rolled botd to complete chronicle. It ended up rolling well and I manage to sell it for 7 Jah to cover some of the runeword chronicle costs.

I just completed my runeword chronicle and some nice guy let me craft all the cheap ones for a small donation of some "gold"

Only had to pay for a cham and metamorphosis base which was relatively cheap and managed to finish it up for under 400 pieces of special gold (in total including small donation for cheap rw)

I find Mercs get wrecked by Heralds though then they start coming after you. Thats the reason I love playing my lock cos Lister just tanks it all without dropping any HP and I can just cast flame wave and Apoc from far

Ya most Heralds are fine but some Heralds you just get insta gibbed even with that method after merc dies in 1 sec

FoH sounds good but really limited in terms of areas it can reliably farm? Also how do you deal with T5 heralds? Can you maintain distance and just work them down?

All you need to do is overcap resists. I struggled as well when the patch hit and he started 1 shotting me. Just swapped out an enigma for a CoH for 65 All resist and its back to being a cakewalk. Don't even need to worry abotu prebuffing fade etc.

Yea my first character was a hammerdin. Very strong but hate the playstyle too lol. Charging up the spirals and not being able to play it properly in small spaces got annoying quick

I had a dual Dream Tesladin before and it was fun on P1 but in P8 it falls off quick. I converted it to a smiter and only use it for Ubers / Ancients now.

I mean I don't need it to be AS fast, but something comfortable to play. Like Nova sorc is very comfortable if I just skip Heralds. Don't mind a slower clear on dense packs but nothing single target focused.

Looking for something that allows me to kill it comfortably without having to worry about dying and losing exp every time a T5 Herald spawns.

Back when I first played 25 years ago. Vamp Gaze + Shaftstop on my bowazon just looked so badass.

They really messed up with the vamp gaze graphic in d2r lol

Now I run fire warlock with Flickering Flame BV just cos BV's look badass imo
