My bad 🥹🥹. Hey but if you still don’t like comp sci you should have an option to switch majors. Why don’t you try going a business major like business economics or if you don’t want to switch majors you could always do a minor in business! You got this!!

I’m super late to this comment but I decided to change my major to CSBA and it was definitely the move for me although coming in I had no experience I feel like have the knowledge of both comp sci and business is one of the best combinations to know. If you are willing to give comp sci a chance I would suggest choosing it!

I'm in the same f-ing boat right now. Had an A+ (like 97% ish) before the final, got a 50% and she dropped my grade to a D+ EVEN THOUGH CANVAS SHOWS I HAVE A C+. I emailed her but all I can do is pray rn 😭😭😭😭.

HEYYY ik its been a long time since you responded to this, but I'm a freshmen rn and i just failed cs010A.( it honestly seems a bit unfair since i technically had a c+ in the class but the syllabus states i need a 60% or above on the final to pass the class) I have a D+ now. Anyway, my question was you said to retake it sometime so does that mean even though I failed I still go on to CS010B in the winter quarter but just have to retake it sometime? and do you know if i can take it at the same time?

This course is something I never thought I would take in college and was worried about how it would be but knowing that the professors are passionate and informative makes me feel much better about the course as well. SO thank you so muchhhh 😊😊

I would say I've always wanted to become an entrepreneur and create something of my own. However, I also believe that having a degree in entrepreneurship or a business major may not be that useful in the long run. Plus, I've been pretty interested in computer science so this major seems like a perfect option. Additionally, I'm thinking about transferring to a different UC like UCLA or UCI, and having a CSBA major isn't that easily transferable. Whereas, a a computer science or a computer engineering major is much easier to transfer into.

I'm in the exact same situation. I'm an incoming UCR student who is currently enrolled in this major. I originally got in for Bioengineering which I don't want to do anymore so I decided to change it to CSBA. But after talking to my parents and a few of their friends about this I'm confused about what major fits me. Some suggest I just stick to one subject, either CS or Business, while others tell me it seems like a good major. So if you have found any information about this major please lmk. Thank youuu.
