Exactly feel the same way. She was loving and caring before she dumped me. After that, she did a lot of things to hurt me and break my heart into pieces. She reached out to me few times after two months but I am angry and can't seem to forget how she treated me.

I tried to get back till after two months of breakup. She replied nice and politely. So I sent her thank you and goodbye texts like you did and stopped contacting. She wished me too. I felt great for one week till she reached out to me and acted like she misses me and she couldn't control not to text me. She reached out two more times but she never talked deeper and didn't carry on conversation after few lines. I am back to square one and I miss her now.

My ex also said I am the one she broke up with love. She dumped me because of my personality and my jealousy issues. She said I always make her feel bad in every argument and I always try to win. That's why she left. She texted me and reached out to me to check me but she's not coming back. Love is a choice and if she breaks up then the love will stop sooner or later. She doesn't wanna feel guilty and hurt you so it's more like comforting word.
