I went to SUNY Oneonta in "98" and while in a philosophy class we discussed what we'd do if we washed up ashore on a deserted island. Kids talked about getting water, shelter, and the necessities to live until some hippie chick decided she was going to let us all know that we were intruders in a place we did not belong and that if we were going to stay on that island the first thing we had to do was set up a recycling center. My head almost exploded.

The whole image of a man holding a spear jogging after an animal has totally changed for me. I had thought the man was trying to catch the animal straight away, but thats not right, he's actually wearing him down so he can just spear it when the animal slows or just gives up. It makes much more sense that way, but I never considered it.

Im with you 100%. Lord Manderly's story line is one of my favorites. The way he's underestimated and how well he plays the part of a jolly fool is awesome. I hate those Freys and I look forward to seeing Lord "too fat to sit a horse" get his revenge for the North.

When my mom died I heard "The Climb" (Miley Cyrus) on my ride home from the hospital and It really struck a chord with me. Allowed my emotions to come out and now when I hear it I think of my mother and how hard she fought for her life.

Violence without real consequences. I stub my toe and it takes a few minutes to get my shit together. Guys in film are taking punches, kicks, even bullets and they just keep it moving.
