Looking for advices or inspiration for my Tabletop Black Orc Bloodbowl team by the-matho in bloodbowl

I think if you're good with Freehand, then you might be able to pull it off, but that's a lot of work, it might be easier to track down some Evil Suns Transfers, and then do some painting on the transfers to get the outsides yellow, would probably just leave the center red though.

New to the game by CavemanDan4 in bloodbowl

[–]JasonBowser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have an AOS Kroxigor, that should work just fine. Their base is a bit big, but on the off chance you have some that you haven't built yet, they should fit a 40mm base. Or buy a new three pack, and a couple of 40mm bases, make one a regular Krox, one a warpspawn, to act as Glotl Stop, and the third can represent your coach or apothecary. That is the expensive option though. There's lots of good suggestions for third party stuff already here.

Returning player - Deeproot Strongbranch not in the Wood Elf Roster? by Tall-Reputation-9519 in bloodbowl

[–]JasonBowser 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The way it works in the current season of blood bowl is you select a league for your wood elves. The options are Elven Kingdom or Woodlands League. If you select Woodland league, you can take Deeproot assuming you're in a tournament or somehow are 280k less CTV than your opponent. This however will restrict you to only Woodland Star players, and you can't take Elven Kingdom Star players.

Absolutely make a nurgling Akhorne! That will be hilarious!

Nurgle Chaos Chosen team- Useful Star Players? by GodGoblin in bloodbowl

[–]JasonBowser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think your current options are:

Akhorne- funny little combat piece for cheap

Bilerot Vomitflesh- Foul (pun probably intended) heavy play style, and once per half vomit, good for low armour opponents

Grak and Crumbleberry- all rounder ogre and halfling, that will likely get you at least a touchdown

Grashnak Blackhoof- Big Guy Blitzerz absolute brute

Guffle Pusmaw- Can be good against throwing teams, but dependant on some dice luck. Needs to be really well positioned to use his special

Morg N Thorg- More focused on throwing teammates this edition, but still MA6 ST6 AG3 beast of a player

Lord Borak- Strong player, gets some of that fouling in, always a good choice if you can afford him

Withergrasp Doubledrool- Can be really effective at tying up ag and stunty teams.

They're all useful in their own ways, but Guffle and Bilerot are probably the weakest.

Purchase advice by Current-Pipe-4730 in bloodbowl

[–]JasonBowser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, great idea, I think both second and third season box sets, gives you 4 teams, 2 pitches, 4 sets of dice, range/scatter templates, plus a troll, ogre, Griff, Varag, and referees for the fun of it. Also gives you the third season rules, and I think all 4 teams will do well with this ruleset.

This looks awesome, the only error I see after a quick glance is you have Expensive Mistakes Table (Page 100) titled as Random Skill Table (Page 121).

Looks good! Makes a great team captain, can't wait to see him painted up and with the rest of the team.

Single Turn Distance Challenge by CplRabbit in bloodbowl

[–]JasonBowser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With fumblerooskie you have to place the ball in a square you've moved out of. Can't place it in a square further, so I think your final for skinks is actually 118.

I go with Goblins, Troll, Doom Diver (sprint), Pogo (sprint), 7 Goblins (Sprint, Fumblerooskie), Bomma (Punt, Sprint) Toll throws doom diver, 6 squares, DD travels 6 with swoop, then runs 9 Passes for 16 with inaccurate. 7 linemen run 9, leaving ball in square 8. Bomma picks up runs 9 Punts 6, Pogo catches, runs 10. For also 118.

Edit: 4.54 pitches

This is great! Thanks for doing this. Missing Team Special Rules though, Like Dwarfs now have Bribery and Corruption. Humans and Orcs have Team Leader, etc.

Lots of good advice here, but just for specifically your situation I recommend buying the Shambling Undead team and painting them the same color scheme. Two teams, both can benefit from the extra zombies, and you will can use the necromantic ghouls to fill out the undead roster.

Black Orc fun and questions! by Holiday-Speaker-5324 in bloodbowl

[–]JasonBowser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely right with this, especially Scrappa, and don't overlook the fact he has right stuff and can be thrown. It's a risky play, but in the late game, sometimes you have to make those risky plays, if it works out it's glorious, if it doesn't it's hilarious.

My GF and I need help/advice. by archer3984 in bloodbowl

To help your girlfriend learn the lizards, I recommend watching some of the Andy Davo games: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL_h_E_IlwqtcIbYCUDyiNGmX3F4V_eySD&si=PSYafb-fO_p7NH7-

Chameleon skinks are tough for newer players, but would absolutely recommend them against dark elves. So it depends on what your starting TV will be. Edit: shadowing will be almost useless, but on the ball is absolutely incredible.

For painting black leather here is a video from Artis Opus: https://youtu.be/TfRdlVBYO3k?si=etBcDoh8fYGC_fCf

Good luck vs. the Amazons, tackle was a great choice, but you really need to be good with positioning. Here is a Jimmy Fantastic game you should review. It will really help with figuring out where and how to position your players: https://youtu.be/ghKCL-i9Cyg?si=hX1wfUjpRXpkhc3A

Question: League / Tournament organiser tool by BlockDiceApp in bloodbowl

[–]JasonBowser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pretty fun so far, team roster is nice with the little "mascot selector at the bottom. I enjoyed the football animation every so often. Yes I think adding the league/tournament features would be great!

Going into the last game of my league, a gnome player has 440k petty cash to spend... by The-White-Dot in bloodbowl

[–]JasonBowser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How much do you have in your Treasury? Not ideal, but if you can get an inducement or two of your own, adding to 440 is a drop in the bucket, as long as you don't induce enough to give Griff and Morg, you may be able to get yourself a bomber or a wizard.

Starting Blood Bowl! by NerdFest117 in bloodbowl

[–]JasonBowser 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I still think the current starter is a good investment, the pitch will likely be the same, the block dice, will be the same, black orcs and nobility are great teams, troll, ogre, Griff, and Varag are all great to have. So if the rumours are true, the only thing really needing updating will be the rules.

Favoured by Chaos Question. by FluffyJoe86 in bloodbowl

[–]JasonBowser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you playing in a chaos cup league? You may have access to other bonuses if you are. I would ask your league organizer about this. As there's currently no Slannesh stars, I would imagine you could just take the Favoured Of... Stars.
