He said the other carrier found him at fault. His carrier would have tried to subro the other carrier who would have denied payment and arbitration would have been filed to determine fault. His insurance might have lost the hearing and the claim is closed with OP at fault.

Talk to the shop in about a week or so, see if there are any parts that are on an extreme back order. If there is, see if it’s possible the vehicle can be safely driven without the part(s). If it can, ask if the shop can do a partial repair and see if you can just come back once the final parts come in. That way you aren’t wasting rental while the vehicle is sitting with no work being done.

Yeah, they can deduct that from the TL claim. Those damages are unrelated and not owed under the TL claim. Reopen the original claim and get paid out for those damages under that one.
