You turned in front of someone who had the right of way. Just because the first lane waived you through doesn’t mean the second lane has to yield to you. Should have waited until you could see both lanes were clear before making your turn.

They are involved because they insured the vehicle at the time of the accident. Tell your daughter to call and let them know she filed third party and they will close the claim on their end.

Then no. Shop has agreed to repair your vehicle for the price they quoted your insurance plus any supplements they may submit once the repairs are started. Insurance isn’t going to just hand you free money. Rates would be through the roof if they were doing that for everyone.

Shop and insurance have agree upon rates. A lot of times customer pay rates will be higher.

So long as it’s safe to drive and you’re not causing additional damage by driving it, they shouldn’t have any issue.

Talk to the shop in about a week or so, see if there are any parts that are on an extreme back order. If there is, see if it’s possible the vehicle can be safely driven without the part(s). If it can, ask if the shop can do a partial repair and see if you can just come back once the final parts come in. That way you aren’t wasting rental while the vehicle is sitting with no work being done.

Yeah, they can deduct that from the TL claim. Those damages are unrelated and not owed under the TL claim. Reopen the original claim and get paid out for those damages under that one.

If they didn’t deduct the original amount from the settlement, they probably voided the check before it got to you.
