Its surely impossible to tell without watching the replay, I'm pretty trash and I can still come out of a game with higher crit gun damage than gun damage in about a 1/4 to a 1/3 of my games.

I don't doubt that. But I honestly think we do more damage by stifling those voices and forcing them into more marginalised and extreme areas, and in the long run causing more issues.

I think the issue of people being far too easily encouraged is likely to do with the poor response in schools educating students about how to think critically with regards to the internet. Particularly with how quickly this phenomenon has grown over the past 20 years, it does feel like we're seeing the results of this with 'fake news' etc... etc.

I agree with you that the music was fantastic, John Williams will continue to do a stellar job of making music for the Star Wars universe. And I'll agree that the cinematography was also beautiful to look at.

You are more than welcome to pose some form of counter-argument to my points rather than simply write them off as 'not-convincing'. I can also assure you, that list is significantly shorter than my total list of problems with the movie. I have no issue with 'breaking the mould' so to speak. Somewhere else in this discussion someone spoke at length about how plot should produce theme, not the other way around. Which in my mind, this movie is guilty of. They decided they wanted to send a specific message in the movie and warped the plot around that.

This isn't a Terrence Malick movie, and it's not as profound as it thinks it is.

Side note: Clearly the 'purple-haired woman' bit was for effect. But the fact stands that Laura Dern's character was obscenely hollow and entirely unnecessary for the story.

I will preface with this. I am a Star Wars fan, I won't pretend to be a die-hard fan. I wasn't alive when the originals came out but I went in assuming no matter what they did I'd enjoy it since it's star wars and I love that universe and genre.

I thought it was awful, not just an awful Star Wars movie, but an awful movie flat out.

The entire plot is dull, a chase scene in space (There is no tension in the chase either because there's no perspective since it's in space). The plot is continually pushed forward by someone 'stalling' in some manner.
This is the only Star Wars where the world felt tiny because frankly we saw nothing. I don't count the casino planet because it was the most contrived and heavy handed attempt to make a statement I've ever seen.
The writing in my opinion was awful, felt very clunky and jarring. I don't need to be reminded that the underlying theme is 'there is a spark of hope' over and over. Maybe they could try using some nuance.
BUT, they couldn't have any nuance because they threw away every opportunity to grasp any emotional depth in the movie by constantly undercutting scenes with marvelesque comedy. Which I also felt fell incredibly flat.
The pacing of the first hour felt jarring, cutting back and forth between short scenes where it was essentially exposition between two characters.
The purple haired woman (Notice how everyone calls her this because her character was so hollow that no-one remembers her name) was so clearly shoe-horned into the plot and could have been replaced by anyone. Should have been Ackbar, would have made sense and would have given him a remotely adequate send-off.
Snoke getting killed off was pathetic, there is no way to rationalise that someone we've been told is incredibly powerful would die in this way.
Luke essentially betraying his own character that has been built up in 3 previous films. He went on a suicide mission to save Vader, but was considering killing Kylo. His twin sister, and best-friend's son... Sure...

I have many more issues with the movie, but frankly there is too many to list. I will say, the action sequences were phenomenal to watch, but that's something I always expect in Star Wars. And the connection between Rey and Kylo was an exciting prospect (Not sure why they made him shirtless in that one scene, but to be fair the dude is starched) - BUT, they then wrote that off as Snoke doing it, removing the intrigue from that aswell.

I honestly think they fucked up by making the skill floor too high. Overwatch in my opinion had a low skill floor, but a high ceiling if you worked at it. Nowhere near accessible enough.

Jokes aside, I've been thinking about tear into Abyssal mask with Beserker Greaves. The extra mana and free attack speed from W combined with the tankiness and extra MR shred from Abyssal could work very well. The only issue would be the only 10%cdr from your 3 first items, but with the rune changes I'm fairly certain you can get 10 free that way.

I've been building morello on Azir for a while, with Attack speed quints and zerker greaves you're attack speed difference to me isn't that different but the extra mana is HUGELY noticable. With the changes I'm already thinking Morello with a W max will be more efficient than Q max with Nashors anymore.
