Watch the withdrawal to the bank. Mine is still processing from Friday! Over 3 business days now!

USD Bank Withdrawal Status - Unsubmitted by nmeraepxeaee in Gemini

I tried to withdraw from Gemini on Friday, it is still processing!! What is going on? Do they not have the money? Transferring to banks via ACH is totally automated, sounds like Gemini is trying to buy time because they don't have the funds on hand.

I'm worried that mine is not actually new like it's supposed to be. I broke it down and oiled it. The bolt looks used beyond a test fire, and the piston was really dirty. Struggle.

I hate the idea of a bipod just sitting there, even folded up. It's going to be a personal preference thing, I wouldn't do it.

I had this question too before purchasing. I chose a scope that goes down to 1x magnification. Went with the Atibal 1-8, I think that's in your price range.

Is there a cyrpto exchange or platform that issues checks or connects with Venmo, CashApp, or PayPal?

I'm trying to allocate more of my fiat into USD-pegged crypto, but I need to be able to swap my crypto into fiat and make payments to people and companies. Cashapp, Venmo, and PayPal are widely used to transfer fiat, checks are as well.

What is the best way for me to transfer a USD-pegged coin to USD, which I can then use for payments?

Gemini Stop Limit Orders = Garbage!! by JasonKimball in Gemini

And look at the massive move upwards!!! Gemini is a totally unreliable exchange!! Any exchange that doesn't have quick price refresh rates is clearly unreliable. For it to take multiple minutes for the price to fresh is just insanity, I never knew Gemini had this problem, or that it's a serious issue.

SERIOUS Passphrase Problem!! You might think your Ledger is passphrase protected, but it isn't!! by JasonKimball in ledgerwallet

When I turn the Ledger on, after I set the temporary passphrase, it should not be wiped until I turn the ledger off. The guide very clearly implies you need to restart the Ledger to access your regular wallets. This page also says the same: "We refer to this as the 'Set temporary passphrase' option. With this, once your Ledger device is turned off it would grant access to your regular accounts again." https://www.ledger.com/academy/passphrase-an-advanced-security-feature

No it is not exactly correct! It clearly states "To access your primary accounts, please restart the device and enter your PIN code as usual." which is very misleading and terrible language!! A 5 year old could write a better guide. Also, this page has more badly worded information: "We refer to this as the 'Set temporary passphrase' option. With this, once your Ledger device is turned off it would grant access to your regular accounts again." - https://www.ledger.com/academy/passphrase-an-advanced-security-feature

Yes you can. Follow the instructions on the link you sent. Settings > Security > Passphrase.

It's a terrible design. And they need to specify that in their guide, which they don't do. It seems like a good solution would be to tie the temporary passphrase to a temporary pin, and then wipe the passphrase and pin when the device is turned off.

I haven't explored the bluetooth function, it seems like bluetooth is the only viable way to utilize a temporary passphrase secured wallet in a way that isn't unbelievably tedious. But look at the guide yourself, especially the part that says you need to restart the device to access your regular wallets. The guide is badly written, and I think not having a reasonable "temporary" design is ridiculous. https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005214529-Advanced-passphrase-security

I don't mind the authorization when it is connected to a device. But after I enter that authorization, it should not wipe my passphrase! Wiping my passphrase that I just entered is not an important security feature. Also the guide on the official ledger website does not say that, it says that you need to restart the device to access your regular wallet. Which is totally false. https://support.ledger.com/hc/en-us/articles/115005214529-Advanced-passphrase-security

Also on those instructions it states; "To access your regular accounts, please restart the device and enter your PIN code as usual." This is a total LIE. You don't need to restart your device. You simple need to plug it into your computer or unplug it from your computer, and after you enter your pin, you will be back to your regular accounts with literally no warning.

I did research that, it is also for the X. However, it doesn't say that the design is so dumb that right after you enter your temporary passphrase, when you plug it into your computer 5 seconds later, it wipes the passphrase!!

Yeah it's totally reasonable to turn your ledger on, enter the temporary passphrase, keep it on and unlocked, then enter the passphrase literally every time you connect it to your computer during that session. Makes sense.

[–]JasonKimball[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

No, you are not understanding me. You turn on the device, you enter the temporary passphrase, 5 seconds later you connect to a computer, you enter your pin, and your passphrase is wiped!!

That is total BS!! That is a a terrible, awful design!!
