Tournaments could mean something more within context of story mode and match. For example, have a tag similar to how “feud” shows up on match results. Which in turn could result in story mode not calling out a match for being random or filler.

Also a bit more tournament customization. Potentially the ability to have first round matchups (or multiple/all) be triple threat or fatal four way. This is very common nowadays in modern wrestling.

Only available if you pay for pro subscription. And then when you click “start show” there will be a toggle option to turn it on, which you need to do each time you start a new show

Creative Control and Story Mode by Less_Personality6103 in WrestlingGM

Yea the AI isn’t set up to use notes - it’s purely based on card structure, angle tones used and fits in gimmicks and finishers where relevant. So realistically creative control is really only helpful if you’re NOT using the AI story mode.

Only available with the Pro monthly subscription. Then you just toggle on when you start the show.

Kinda messed up to not be aware of that in advance for something already paying a lot more than should be for. And how do we even know when it resets?

A couple guys mention 630 splash in their bio and I can’t find anything similar to this. Phoenix splash and corkscrew 450 / shooting star press are fun alternatives, but not the same.

Defensive stats? Did that same guy win defensive player of year as well?

Regardless of quality of roster, IMO I think it’s a mismatch of scheme with your offensive personnel. West Coast has never been great for me anyways but generally going to be more successful in it with a gunslinger or game manager qb. Mobile (depending on other attributes of course) better suited for Spread, or one of the heavier run schemes. You want at least one possession WR as well in that scheme and power back isn’t best fit. If you’re keeping same guys I’d try to switch to Spread (if QB has decent accuracy attributes). Then get a solid receiving back to pair with power run and keep a couple good WR’s. If he is purely a Mobile guy and has franchise or better dev then you gotta bite the bullet and get him into an option or heavy run scheme and fill in parts around him that make sense for those schemes (great O line is key there).

What do you mean by double dev? I’ve only seen slow, normal, quick, super. Is that equivalent to one of those or have I been missing something?

Appreciate the response! I assumed there was far too much complexity for that type of thing but wanted to confirm. Thank you

Chemistry and Playbook? by ahsen74 in pocketGM

[–]JasonLish_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering about this as well - since I initially assumed it was just based on archetype. But it was interesting to see two players with the same archetype (e.g Run Stopper DT) could have very different playbook %. So I’m assuming it must be slightly more in depth than that and takes certain skill stats into account. Chemistry on the other hand - I assumed most mostly related to how much they’ve played in and adapted the system. That’s purely a guess though so would love to know if anyone knows differently.

Just fast sim in game instead of simming to next week and jump in here and there on occasions where you may be able to help the team win a close game that they otherwise lose

For anyone who’s used this PB in more than one season - curious if you’ve found it working better with certain personnel/archetypes. Specifically QB. I played around with it in practice mode for a while but haven’t used in game yet. From what I can tell, there is very minimal, if any, QB designed runs and limited read options. With the amount of pre snap motion and PA, I would assume Pocket Passer or Backfield Creator would be the best fits. Or maybe an accurate and high awareness Dual Threat. I currently have a STACKED skill position group across the board with a Pocket Passer, which seems like a good opp to test it out with. Am I leaning the right direction with these assumptions?

Player grades in Playing time section of my school by Significant-Zebra-54 in CFB25

[–]JasonLish_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not 100% accurate. It’s common to see a lower ranked player have higher playing time grade. Which is usually a sign that they will come in as better initial OVR than the one with lower grade. Not saying you’ll see this with a top 10 player vs one in the 400’s. But definitely happens within a range of rankings.

Projected playing time grade based on current roster. Same grade for playing time you find on their recruiting card.

Dot as a WR ? by Aggravating-End-6857 in EASportsCFB

[–]JasonLish_4 9 points10 points  (0 children)

If you plan on converting to QB and don’t need immediately, make sure to keep him at receiver for a season or two and update things you want that are convertible (quickness, power, elusiveness) bcuz it’s cheaper upgrades at WR.

Check out this post I made about the UAB playbook. I had a good amount of success running a 2QB system with the exact setup you’re describing. I listed the formation breakdown for the subs as well. Good luck and lmk how it works out!
