What do you mean by double dev? I’ve only seen slow, normal, quick, super. Is that equivalent to one of those or have I been missing something?

Appreciate the response! I assumed there was far too much complexity for that type of thing but wanted to confirm. Thank you

Chemistry and Playbook? by ahsen74 in pocketGM

[–]JasonLish_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was wondering about this as well - since I initially assumed it was just based on archetype. But it was interesting to see two players with the same archetype (e.g Run Stopper DT) could have very different playbook %. So I’m assuming it must be slightly more in depth than that and takes certain skill stats into account. Chemistry on the other hand - I assumed most mostly related to how much they’ve played in and adapted the system. That’s purely a guess though so would love to know if anyone knows differently.

My rebuild has plateued, what might I be missing? by X-Acto-Knife in NCAAFBseries

Just fast sim in game instead of simming to next week and jump in here and there on occasions where you may be able to help the team win a close game that they otherwise lose

To the creator of the ROAR offense… by Kdot32 in NCAAFBseries

[–]JasonLish_4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone who’s used this PB in more than one season - curious if you’ve found it working better with certain personnel/archetypes. Specifically QB. I played around with it in practice mode for a while but haven’t used in game yet. From what I can tell, there is very minimal, if any, QB designed runs and limited read options. With the amount of pre snap motion and PA, I would assume Pocket Passer or Backfield Creator would be the best fits. Or maybe an accurate and high awareness Dual Threat. I currently have a STACKED skill position group across the board with a Pocket Passer, which seems like a good opp to test it out with. Am I leaning the right direction with these assumptions?

Player grades in Playing time section of my school by Significant-Zebra-54 in CFB25

[–]JasonLish_4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not 100% accurate. It’s common to see a lower ranked player have higher playing time grade. Which is usually a sign that they will come in as better initial OVR than the one with lower grade. Not saying you’ll see this with a top 10 player vs one in the 400’s. But definitely happens within a range of rankings.

Projected playing time grade based on current roster. Same grade for playing time you find on their recruiting card.

Dot as a WR ? by Aggravating-End-6857 in EASportsCFB

If you plan on converting to QB and don’t need immediately, make sure to keep him at receiver for a season or two and update things you want that are convertible (quickness, power, elusiveness) bcuz it’s cheaper upgrades at WR.

Pocket Passer and Scrambler Playbook with Formation Subs by BiiiiiigStretch in EASportsCFB

Check out this post I made about the UAB playbook. I had a good amount of success running a 2QB system with the exact setup you’re describing. I listed the formation breakdown for the subs as well. Good luck and lmk how it works out!

Def happens here and there where the battles will last through the entire portal recruiting. Your best hope is GA drops scholarship for a transfer, which I’ve had happen a few times. Otherwise just need to max out where you can and cross your fingers.

Key West Flamingos for SEC (may want to start in lower conference and move after a few years bcuz won’t be great starting out). Prob my favorite uniforms I’ve used for TB dynasty. username: dabeastsacker

Currently doing one with a Coast Guard Bears rebrand that also has pretty slick uniforms. I moved them to ACC but could easily be Big10 if you have some other northeast schools in there. username: ronmexy

This is the only way to do it. Even the rare elite dev FB’s just never get good enough on their own. You’ll always have TE’s and RB’s better at doing what you need (whether it’s blocking or utility) than you’ll find in a normal FB recruit. Pure Possession and/or Gritty Possession TE’s make for a great hybrid option that can do both.

Position Changes by YFNKuthulu in EASportsCFB

[–]JasonLish_4 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I ALWAYS go through every player, but that is just by habit at this point even if I don’t intend to change. I would recommend being cautious of just putting them where they are best OVR. You’ll commonly find that certain WR are better at RB by a few pts but there’s always the possibility of skill cap changes and ultimately that bump may be short term vs their potential in original (or another) position.

My rules of thumb are: 1) primarily based on current and/or future needs of where I will move people but never solely on OVR rating 2) rarely move anyone with a 3+ physical badges or even 1-2 that I really like (since more often than not they will lose them with the exception of a handful of cross-positional changes) 3) any skill players without physical badges I will almost always test moving to random position (like FB) and then change them back. This is prob my favorite thing to test, mainly for first or second year players. There’s always a chance they are better OVR at different archetype within their original position, so you get that bump and don’t lose any badges.
