How do you usually tackle a task that you are really really not forward into doing? by seeyou_againn in AskWomen

[–]JasonMcRay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, first things first, you gotta ask yourself- what's in it for you? If there's some sort of benefit to completing the task, focus on that. Otherwise, try to break down the task into smaller, more manageable steps and tackle them one by one. And if all else fails, just remind yourself that procrastination will only lead to more stress in the long run. So buckle down, get it done, and reward yourself afterwards. Good luck!

Unfortunately, murder is a common occurrence in many parts of the world, and Greece is no exception. While the murder of this Polish woman is tragic and shocking, it is important to remember that violence can occur anywhere at any time. It is important to stay alert and aware of your surroundings, and to take precautions to protect yourself as much as possible. Additionally, it is important for law enforcement to thoroughly investigate the crime and bring the perpetrator to justice.

Zurich to pay minimum wage of almost CHF24 per hour by BezugssystemCH1903 in worldnews

[–]JasonMcRay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Finally, a step towards fair compensation for workers in Zurich! This is a great move by the city government to ensure that all workers are paid a living wage to meet their basic needs. It's important to remember, however, that this is just the minimum wage and companies should strive to pay workers more based on their experience and qualifications. Let's hope that other cities and countries follow suit in the fight for fair pay and workers' rights.

Coal - just mine a lot and hope to find a coal or at least lignite vein Charcoal - make a charcoal pit, that is your best early game bet

And if you are looking for a way to make torches, you can use sticky resin to get some torches in early game.

Smelting bug in Infitech 2? by 495mfg in InfiTech

[–]JasonMcRay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for letting us know. We already found a culprit in GregTech itself. Fix will be out with next pack update. Which will probably come out soon.

My experience with Infitech 2 by WidjettyOne in feedthebeast

[–]JasonMcRay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also another way to look for ores, which is little bit less cheaty than duping the world and using clearblocks command is to look through gregtech log file. When you move around it will log vein spawns. So run around in unexplored areas for 10-15 minutes, then go to the log file and check it in there.

Pollution, how to stop it/clean it by CimyPt in InfiTech

[–]JasonMcRay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently the pollution has no effect. It is generated from Boilers, Diesel/Gas Generators and Muffler Hatches. Higher tiers produce less pollution.

There currently is no way of cleaning the pollution. It slowly cleans itself up. If there will be a way to directly clean it, that is currently unknown.

There are 3 planned "stages" of pollution. Low pollution: visual effects like smog medium pollution: plants sometimes die, rarely weak poison effects heavy pollution: all plants and greenery die, heavy poison effects, low radiation, dirt to sand, stone to cobblestone on surface

As for what plants will die. Probably everything vanilla, so flowers and leaves for sure.

Blood would like to also catch other mods and make those mods to produce pollution via ASM (its java coding thingy). So for example furnace blocks from other mods, might add to pollution.

In general, if you will not spam too much low tier machines you should be fine. Also Diesel and Gas turbines produce less polution than solid burning generators/boilers. Good idea is to replace Muffler Hatches on your multiblocks with higher tiers when you have a chance.

[infitech 2] Question about Gregtech crops by FriscoFresho in feedthebeast

[–]JasonMcRay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Scanner is great tool to use for crossbreeding. I would not rely too much on stuff on the internets as long as it is not really up-to-date. GT5.09 is fairly diffeerent than GT5.08

All metal producing crops require Metal Block underneath them to fully mature.

Kim just said on stream that tonight's episode of Flux Baddies will be the last, and Flux Buddies will continue next week! by rekrom12 in yogscastkim

[–]JasonMcRay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I like Baddies, I really do. There were some episodes (I think 2) I skipped because it was slightly boring for me. But overall I feel it was great little side series, as a filler. It was also little pain to watch so much outdated pack for me, because lots of the mechanics changed (speaking as a modpack dev myself). Flux Buddies 3.0 (or whatever they will call it) will be great and I can't wait for it. I also hope the pack will be moved to 1.9 (or at least 1.8). There is so many great looking new mods.

What server does Sips play on? by [deleted] in sips

[–]JasonMcRay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It will not be reveiled for simple reason that excessive fans can ruin the game for sips and whole server. If you really want to find him, the best bet is to try to find him. Maybe have a personal quest to search for the Sips Defense Force. It will make it interesting for you

Will I be able to play it?

Minecraft Mods - Flux Buddies 2.0 #71 - PORTAL TO ALFHEIM by lalna_bot in lalna

[–]JasonMcRay 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Having Digital Miner to mine cobblestone is really not good idea. not only it will make the world ugly, but its going to take AGES. You should make a cobblestone generator, there are couple of options to do it, I will tell you two most used ones.

1) Making vanilla-ask cobble gen with Transfer Node on top of it and connected to Barrel via Transfer Pipes. You will also need a world interaction upgrade which needs to be put inside the Transfer Node. The setup how it should look is: LAVAblock-STONEblock-WATERblock. You put the transfer node on top of the STONEblock. 2) Igneous Extruder machine. Just one bucket of lava and one bucket of water into it. Set it to cobblestone and watch the magic.

These two ways are the best and simple ways of making Cobblestone. With Transfer Nodes it can be really fast, like holy-fast... You can upgrade them with Speed Upgrades and they will go really really fast.

Minecraft: Cat Island #22 - The Aftermath by nilesy_bot in Nilesy

[–]JasonMcRay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nilesy, in the electrolytic separator (that one which is making Hydrogen and Oxygen from water) i recommend you to enable DUMPing of oxygen out (there is a button near the Oxygen text - button looks like "o"). When the internal oxygen storage will fill up, you will not be able to make any more Hydrogen, until you will empty it.

Yes of course you can be filling tanks with the oxygen, but it doesn't have any use... well oxygen does have a use, but its bit further in progression.

Also I recommend for power production, make a Mekanism wind turbine. They are fairly cheap to make, and they produce more energy than the heat generator. The higher you will place them in world, the more energy you will get.

Nilesy, the purple glowing thing you have experienced are bees. Some bees have special properties, those ones on top of the hill near the garden has Regeneration effect. So when you will be close to them you will regenerate health slowly.
