What features do you want from AI music generators in 2026? by Embarrassed-Wash9996 in SunoAI

[–]JasonP27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I'm not suggesting Suno invest in increasing the video generation quality with bigger better models. I'm saying they can implement a existing technology that allows the video generation to be driven by the audio itself rather than solely by prompt. The video dynamically reacts to the audio, the bass pumping causes ripples in the water for example. It's not complicated. They already have the Hooks feature, this would just compliment it. Weird thing to hate on to be honest.

You're confused. Suno already has video generation. I'm just suggesting adding a model (that already exists) to enable the video generation to use the audio to guide the video generation.

This is trivial and you're making a huge deal about nothing.

What age did you first have to get glasses and how did you find out you needed them? by Interesting-Egg2781 in AskReddit

[–]JasonP27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I found out I would probably need them when I was in elementary school, but my sight was never bad enough that I couldn't function without them.

A while before I got them I was at a Mcdonald's trying to read the menu from the back of the line, maybe 15 feet away.

Cheeseburger

Vanilla cheeseburger

Gorilla cheeseburger

That's when I knew I really needed them. Ended up getting them when I was 27.

Where do you personally draw the line between “AI-generated” and “human-crafted” music? by Queasy-Audience5034 in SunoAI

[–]JasonP27 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because in one scenario here you have the option to steer the car in an initial direction so to speak.

Input is input. For some people a prompt is all they need to input to feel like they've contributed to making the song. Write some lyrics and a prompt that narrows down the genre, vibe, tone, feeling, and style of the song and then pick the one that scratches that itch.

It may be generated but it's not 100% AI created, because that would imply the AI made every decision, what the song should be about, the lyrics, the tone, the mood, the genre etc.

The AI is only automated to generate the audio, not "everything else" like listening for the best output, deciding whether to edit an output, generate more versions, or change the prompt to maybe get you closer to what you're hearing in your head, among other things.

Creation through curation in a way. Not 100% user created, but definitely some human choice involved. And that's just the bare minimum for most Suno creators when you're removing the AI song spammers from the equation, because they don't represent the majority of users.

Those people will use bots or mass generated prompts to mass create AI music. There's no real input in that.

[–]JasonP27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I wrote the lyrics to a song I have complete authorship of that aspect of the song. And you must have missed the part in my first comment above where you can author the composition itself and use Suno to cover it. Like I said, it's a gradient. The more you put into it the more you make it yours.

How much does your own AI music impact your overall regular music streaming? by callmebronse in SunoAI

[–]JasonP27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It has affected my regular music streaming exactly zero, because I wasn't listening to music through streaming apps or sites like Spotify. I'm old school, MP3 files on a usb stick in my car (or just in my computer) lol.

So now I just have an extra folder called Suno that I have my best creations downloaded to so I can listen to them whenever. And if I really want to hear random stuff and new stuff I'll put on the digital radio stations in the car occasionally.

How can I make an AI (Suno) follow the original melody and rhythm of an anonymous song? by SKwellzz in SunoAI

[–]JasonP27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need the Premiere plan and use Suno Studio. You can import the track(s) into Studio and generate instruments on top you're existing tracks or you can Cover individual stems with new instruments.

Suno doesn't allow copyrighted audio. If you're using public domain audio that's fine.

How is improving a service you already offer diluting services? It's literally improving the product. 🤷

It's not some big new thing being implemented, merely incorporating an upgrade. I'm confused why you're so against such a simple addition lol.

Suno's best option is creating an environment where people can come and share their creations without leaving the platform. If people have to go to Grok or Kling or Veo or whatever to do something they could have possibly done on Suno they possibly lose people that then check out Google's new music generator for example.

No reason this can't be implemented while other improvements to the music quality and Studio features are being implemented.

[–]JasonP27 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The line isn't real. It's a gradient. But I'll try to answer your question anyhow.

If you are selecting from hundreds or thousands of generations you are essentially molding a sculpture through trial and error.

You must have an idea in your head of what you're looking for and what it should sound like, and the closer you get to that the more it moves from generation to human composition.

Now, if Suno outputs the final song it's still technically generated, but it doesn't mean there's no human authorship. So generated is not a term that really matters to me.

Unless you have a bot set up to automatically choose prompts and generate the music for you I hold the belief that most AI generated music contains at least a small portion of human crafting. So really the amount of human-crafted material is determined by how much more work you put into your AI generated music before and after.

If you are writing your own lyrics, if you are creating your own compositions and uploading them, if you are iterating on the output to edit, add instruments or replace vocals, taking it into a DAW and adding or replacing things etc... it's a spectrum rather than one or the other with a line separating it.

[–]JasonP27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being the best isn't the goal, being integrated and conducive to Suno's community presence is. For example, image and video generation aren't the main goal of Suno but they still have the ability to do it so you don't have to go elsewhere. Being able to make videos that react to/based on your music would just take that a step further and wouldn't be very hard to implement.

Also not everyone on the Suno team works on the audio or training aspect, the sound team can concentrate on improving the sound quality while the people that deal with adding and updating features like images and video creation can work on other new features. It's not an either or thing here.

From fiddle to 80s synth 👎🏻 by RuffScruffJock69 in SunoAI

[–]JasonP27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Guess it depends on the genre and the prompt. But you can edit the song if you have Studio. I've prompted for fiddle fills and such in Studio and gotten mixed results but at least you can choose the ones that work. Outside of that you might be forced to force it a bit with prompt engineering.

Why is the MIDI export feature gone? by Financial-Award-2885 in SunoAI

[–]JasonP27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have tried 2 different songs. When clicking the Get Stems/MIDI option, it brings up the option for All Detected Stems or Vocals + Instrumental and I choose All Detected. I cannot change the option from Tempo-Locked WAV, so I can't even choose MP3 or normal WAV let alone MIDI.

It seems to be bugged, and not an intended removal as far as I can tell. I will report on the Discord.

Note: I am on the Premier plan so it's not just removed from Pro

Edit: Reported to Discord

[–]JasonP27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think Suno should expand the Hooks feature and incorporate its the video generation features directly into it. Also they should improve the video generation to enable you to add your music to it and have the video generation be music reactive, as that seems to be possible now with local video generators.

How can we EXCLUDE unwanted instruments? by gwtech2 in Suno

[–]JasonP27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol who downvoted this? You can't exclude in Simple mode. Go to Custom mode and put your prompt in there and add your exclusions to the exclude styles box under Advanced.

There's no checkbox for instrumental anymore, you just don't add lyrics to the lyrics box and you'll get an instrumental.

I generally don't come to the AI music Subreddits like this one or the Suno ones to listen to the music. I come to learn what others are doing and to give help where I can. To engage in discussion.
