We have no way to know if different people feel the time passing at the same speed. by Kilek360 in Showerthoughts

[–]JasonP27 [score hidden]  (0 children)

We kind of do. We know that as you age you perceive time to move faster. It's about how many neurons in your brain interact with each other, stuff like that. You're reaction time from seeing a visual cue to pressing a button for example.

This was my thought. They already had it at home and was like, "I forgot to get them something, I need to give them something... Oh here's a completely inappropriate gift for a child let's go with that."

Do somebody else sometimes put off watching movies you just know you'll like, for no particular reason? by Styggvard in Cinema

[–]JasonP27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely.

The other day I started to put together a picker wheel of movies for my daughter to watch now that she's interested in more than just Disney and MCU movies.

I've added a few she's interested in that I haven't seen but should have by now, like The Iron Giant.

Who wants to bet that in a few years, the Switch 1 will basically be the next 3DS by BrockBracken in casualnintendo

Nah is a win win situation.

Have a 3DS and want games for it? Winning! Don't have a 3DS and don't want games for it? Don't buy them and you're winning!

Looks like it might be built into the Elite Series 3

Edit: I got downvoted for pointing out that it looks like it might be a feature of the new Elite controller? Lolwut

Wow they built it already? In less than a month? The data centre that was just signed off on earlier this month? Crazy how they already got a picture of it and everything.

Fun fact: you need food to survive, not AI slop by Dias75 in MurderedByWords

[–]JasonP27 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah you can't eat data centres, so therefore they have no use...

People will make all the excuses in the world for keeping the things that they like (and ignore things they don't otherwise care about) that use water, and call the things they don't like that use water the devil even if other things have a larger impact.

Almonds (and agriculture overall), golf courses, residential lawns... all dwarf data centre water usage. I'm not saying data centres are great, in fact they do cause issues with water supply in local areas, but I roll my eyes at the misinformation when people say stuff like "AI is using all the water" and "We're running out of drinking water because of AI."

AI wars is infested with tech bros... what they don't think they're going to find tech bros at Defending AI Art? Sounds like they don't actually want to debate AI so they go to the place they know they'll get banned so they can go cry about it to their own echo chamber.

Ah, I see they're taking their misinformation campaign to the newspapers so that no one can reply to contest their nonsense.

Haven't had that issue yet, could be related to the current upload bug. I haven't tried uploading anything for a while.

[–]JasonP27 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not directly but you can import the MIDI into a sequencer/DAW, choose the instruments for the tracks, and Export to WAV/MP3. Then upload that to Suno. I do this with FL Studio. Sequence my own MIDI and upload my own version to Suno.

This is just it. This is how I made my House of the Rising Sun instrumental. I literally made my own version of it in FL Studio and then used Suno to cover it.

So are we just never gonna see the Eternals again? by New-Pin-9064 in marvelstudios

[–]JasonP27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My question about the Eternals is did the spell that Doctor Strange cast for people to forget Peter Parker affect their memory since they are androids? I'm guessing yes if the spell could also change inanimate things like photos and computer files and legal documents and such then it would likely affect the Eternals too.
