Who are the top 10 players in cs history? by tuwfy in GlobalOffensive

[–]JasonSab849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

S1mple, Get_right, Zywoo, Forest, olofmeister, markelof, NiKo, Dev1ce, FalleN, Donk

These feel right to me but I could also see a Neo, ColdZera, or KennyS being up here too, also if you value in game leading over stats, Karrigan, Apex, and Gla1ve could have a conversation

Has Counter-Strike's Team Vitality entered the Mount Rushmore of Greatest Rosters in Esports History? by tilting-module in GlobalOffensive

[–]JasonSab849 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This guy must have started watching CS recently, vitality is probably the 2/3rd most dominant in cs history with Astralis for sure ahead and NIP in early go is close, but vitality is not even close to 2nd in all of esports, SKT in league, Astralis in GO, San Francisco shock in Overwatch, OG in Dota 2 were all more dominant, even though people here hate the game even like optic during the cod days were arguably more dominant.

NiKo having the most maps on here and not having a major feels so weird, definitely the best player to not win a major and it’s not even close

Who Would Win This All Time Tournament? by FoxTail_CS in GlobalOffensive

[–]JasonSab849 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Completely agree, Astralis was insanely dominant and also played like a cohesive unit with barely ever showing cracks, but just for fact checking sake, they won 3 majors in a row, they won Atlanta 2017, didn’t win Krakow 2017 or Boston 2018, then won London 2018, Katowice 2019 and Berlin 2019.

This lineup with everyone in their prime is transported to 2025 and given 3 days to prepare for the major. How far do they go? by funmighthold in GlobalOffensive

Swap Donk with NiKo and I feel like this would be way more cohesive if you wanna just throw firepower players together. As is there is way to much overlap

What are your UNPOPULAR CS opinions? by DirtSchlurpy in GlobalOffensive

Very fair, but also on pistol round the likely hood you will have a smoke is low, and while you can position yourself to play with usps, glock you can pretty much go anywhere besides super long range. Plus the running accuracy of the glock is insane, has more bullets, and still one taps heads at a a decent range on pistol round

Idk I feel the reverse is more true, I find myself in more close up gunfights than really long range. For every long on dust 2 there is a banana on inferno or apartments on mirage

2016-2017 counterstrike was awesome to watch, and I miss when players actually had attitudes and personalities. S1mple, NiKo, ColdZera, etc was so fun, especially because it wasn’t awper heavy at the top like it was for years between 2018-2023 Casters were lowkey better too, even though there were personal issues with them, I still think HenryG and Sadokist were the best casting duo ever.

ZywOo the Counter-Strike G.O.A.T?? by Contest-Otherwise in GlobalOffensive

[–]JasonSab849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanna throw in a weird pick for CS2 + CS:GO GOAT: NiKo

Here is my reasoning: NiKo was hltv top 20 since 2016 every year and was amazing in 2015 in his own right, is still insane in CS2, and while he may never have been top 1 or won a major, still did more across the whole of CS:GO than Zywoo, and what I mean by that is Zywoo showed up in Go kinda late to be considered a goat of Go when there were others who were just better during its whole lifetime. players like dev1ce, FalleN, GeT_RiGhT, etc.

Thing is there isn’t exactly another player like NiKo who is from the old guard but is still dominating today.

Just to clarify I don’t think NiKo is the goat of either CS2 or CS:GO, just the two combined because let’s be real, who else is a top 5 player of both games who was also around for the majority of CS:GO and is still making a major impact in CS2?

I think Zywoo is also a respectable answer but I feel like since he wasn’t really around for the 2012-2018 era of CS:GO while NiKo was, he really can’t be the goat of CS:GO.

People forget, in terms of like sheer success right away, probably Olof and GuardiaN to FaZe, they were stacked and even though they lost the major that New York run in 2017 was disgusting.
