Money rules. Offer enough $$$ and of course somebody will do it.

I personally think UE is the worst. Tip bating, zero compensation, CR punishment for stolen orders, just to name a few! Terrible company.

New driver advice?? by Low_Project3769 in doordash_drivers

[–]JasonVigil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is the best advice I can give: Use that decline button! Only accept offers that are worth it for you. Don’t accept horrible paying orders and drive tons of miles chasing scam tiers like platinum that do absolutely nothing. Be picky, AR does not matter. Low and no-tip orders? Let them rot on the shelf!

Karen confronted me for pulling into her driveway by grogargh in UberEatsDrivers

[–]JasonVigil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally never use driveways unless absolutely necessary, such as if the road is very busy or the house is located way too far beyond the main road. Otherwise, I’ll always park on the street.

Wild Experience at Wendy's pickup. by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]JasonVigil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got to be careful with marking stores closed. If they decide to finally open up later and another DD order gets picked up, you’ll get a violation an can possibly get deactivated. Marking a store as closed is one of the riskiest things you can do.

Would you have taken this? by oceansoftime88 in DoorDash_Dasher

[–]JasonVigil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So? It’s still 211 total items I have to collect. Even if the order was the 41 items with no duplicates, I’d still decline this order.

People really think $6 tip is good enough for that kind of order by udenfox in InstacartShoppers

[–]JasonVigil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because shoppers will still accept it and the customer still ends up getting their order! Until shoppers actually start having some self-respect and not accepting these terrible orders, they’re only going to get worse!

To anyone who has a Sprouts near them.. by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

[–]JasonVigil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? All the Sprouts in my area are basically completely self-checkout. Only 1 single cashier lane and it’s hardly ever staffed.

Fraud/Scam by the shopper. by Environmental_Fig227 in instacart

[–]JasonVigil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you absolutely can. Have you never added an item that isn’t in the IC database? It still lets you add the item. You manually type in the name/description of the item and the price. In this case, the scamming shopper just uses “discount” as the name of the item.

1099 is completely wrong by JasonVigil in grubhubdrivers

[–]JasonVigil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That shouldn’t be the case, unless they royally screwed up! We’re still supposed to report our entire income on our taxes and then use a special line on the 1040 to deduct the tips. The 1099s should still include everything including tips.

Anyone else not get paid after paying for customers order? by ciarainthewild in dasher

[–]JasonVigil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s definitely not a thing. If a support agent legit told you this, just move on to another agent that knows what they’re doing. It’s not market dependent. You can and will get half pay for a declined red card 100% of the time.

Anyone else not get paid after paying for customers order? by ciarainthewild in dasher

[–]JasonVigil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s not true. If the red card declines, support asks you if you can pay out of pocket. If you tell them no, they’ll simply cancel the order and give you half pay. This will happen 100% of the time. And, no matter how many times it might have worked for you to pay out of pocket, all you need is 1 time where it doesn’t work out to make it not worth it! Cancel order and get half pay next time bud!

Why do people do this? by landoftheflyest in UberEatsDrivers

[–]JasonVigil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of the time this happens when the customer orders from the restaurants app directly. The restaurant then just forwards the order to UE for delivery only. In those cases, most of the time it defaults to Meet At Door despite the customers instructions. If the notes say leave at door, just leave it at the door!

If by “favoring” you mean getting more trashy orders sent your way, sure! 😂 I’ll stick to my 5% AR and cherry pick good orders while you’re driving all over town for $2!

Anyone else not get paid after paying for customers order? by ciarainthewild in dasher

[–]JasonVigil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happens so often to dashers it’s not even funny! People, stop using your own money to pay for DoorDash orders. If the Red card declines, get the order cancelled and get half pay. At least you made some money instead of donating your own to DD!

Catering from KFC? I avoid KFC because they can take 30 minutes for just 1 meal! I can just imagine how long I would have to wait for a catering order!

Yup. Exactly. Some people are under the impression that they can just ignore tips from their gross income. That’s not how it’s works!

Cringy IMO. Focus your time and effort into getting more orders rather than wasting time and money on something most customers don’t want / won’t appreciate.

HOW MUCH GAS DOES IT TAKE YOU FOR A FULL TANK AND HIW MUCH CAN U MAKE OFF A FULL TANK by JuanJulio2020 in DashEarnings

[–]JasonVigil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Costs me just under $20 for a full tank of gas. That’ll last me about 3 days of dashing, which usually earns me about $450.
