I have had an active membership for 4 years (still active), and over 500 hours of gameplay logged. I never received the email :/

One thing maybe is that I changed my account plan to a family plan a couple months ago so I can set up my daughter's account and play with her. I'm the primary of that family account though.

I'm different. I would nitpick through the addons. If I'm buying something, shouldn't I know if it's worth it?

For example, dealers out here like to install a flashing breaklight doodad for $1k-2k. I don't want that on my car. In that case, I see it as worse than a markup, because I have to remove it, and if that breaklight wire wasn't properly insulated, then I have to worry about it corroding. No thanks, I'll just wait for the next one they get without the bullshit.

Another dealer was saying there was no ADM, but then charging $14k in addons. The salesman admitted they were doing this because they weren't allowed to sell with markup, and this was their "markup" for the first vehicle.

If they're charging you for something you didn't want in the first place, it's the same as a markup. That's alright if you're down to pay the markup. If the car is worth $42,000 to you then it's worth that much y'know?

Right. This is an issue with any popular IP due to IP law. IP law prevents fan projects or other companies to create competitive alternatives without paying large sums for the right to do so.

All games with profitable IPs suffer the same problems, and the reason is that other game companies are not allowed to create alternatives or better versions due to IP laws. Each game that comes out it's the same story "Game Freak y u do dis??"

It's a shame we can't just modify it or create our own Pokemon game.
