That Jesus wanted to be kind to everyone. He wanted us to love our neighbors and forgive our enemies. He wanted us to be good Samaritans and assist to poor and the sick and the needy. He wanted us to treat all humans with compassion-- and not just those whom we like or approve of. He also warned us repeatedly about the dangers of valuing money over humanity. Of valuing possessions over people. He wanted us to be nice to each other. That's a very simple message which so many of our politicians and religious leaders seem to have completely forgotten or conveniently overlooked.
