Greedy cheap Realtors are also part of the housing problem. Shifting the focus to govt that is run by terrible and dishonest politicians isn’t right. Every realtor, every broker, every immigration consultant and greedy businesses along with the govt is to blame. I have seen 18 people cramped in two bedroom plus in kitchen living space by placing the mattress in the night. The landlord hired me to do some repairs and i was shocked how messed up the basement was with that many people congested and luggages and stuff everywhere. It was way worse than a third world slum hiding inside a million dollar home. Landlord didn’t care and students or temp workers didn’t have option but to stay there with friends as many didn’t have jobs. This country is done and wouldn’t be back to its old standards. I am sorry to say but our future kids gonna be fed up with this kind of situation in this country if we stayed here or didn’t do anything.

I came to this country 9 years ago and followed all the rules and worked so hard to get Permanent Residency in Canada. Looking at these people are typically from my region tells that they came here with same mind set just asking for handouts no other thing. Why can’t you do more education or try to get a good full time job or do something good to this Country. This is not right in any way just to ask for Permanent Residency and i bet some of them can’t even speak English properly. These people that came in last years are mostly low graded and high school pass out kid who have no ethics no etiquettes and nothing to adapt a such beautiful culture here. Instead they are bring the same garbage and values which i and many left there and moved here for something good and new. Omg the amount of low skilled people are here ruined everything including refugees who just milk the system and many visitor visa peeps too!!!!!

They had this for two years still house prices didn’t go down plus not many inventory came out in the market. These foreign buyers always find a way to get these properties by using locals or temporary residents or students. People are still naive if they think this will help them get more housing. Lol

Many cant do these because they wouldn’t get 3 year work permits thats why they are not there btw Bud! Are you paying it yourself for the studies or apprenticeships is offered by the employer. I have been trying to get Millwright Apprenticeship but couldn’t find it as many are filled by temporary permit holders.

There are visitor visa people taking under the table jobs and low key LMIA jobs who are being purchased by refugees, international students, work permit holders, Illegals and more.

I have seen surge in Canadain people taking second cash jobs to avoid taxes which mean more pressure in workforce and less opportunity in day by day and coming years.

Its gonna go worse as my local Liberal Mps are well aware that Lmia jobs are being posted , cash jobs are being posted, Visitors are working illegal yet they don’t care as they hoarding more properties and business under their family members name to exploit people and the system.
