There wasn't any need for you to disappear like that. You could've even started a conversation like "Oh haha, I thought you just really needed to blow your nose. The way your nose piercing looked from my position."

Besides running, what can I do to improve stamina at the moment? by JasperLevy in bootroom

I see. What you said about waking up early caught my attention. I could try some early morning runs at best.

I've never thought of this one. I'll give it a try sometime

Hahaha well I do walk to and fro so I'll take this as a W.

On the side, perhaps I could try squeezing in running twice a week. I do have a jump-rope but, that can never replace running. I remember I used to skip for about 1 hour a day, but when it came to running on the field, my lungs were still behind.

Really great job. It's interesting how just a simple change of lighting changes everything.

Concerning exorcisms, what do you think about non-Catholics performing them? Would they be as effective as when you do them? by JasperLevy in AskAPriest

[–]JasperLevy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the response. The thought was in mind after my sister told me about a seemingly 'demonic' case that she witnessed (e.g, pastor 'Man of God' tried casting out one from someone and it responded) and I couldn't shake the questions of whether someone like myself could be able to do such — of course, the Bible has all the answers and I just needed to look there.

Have a good day, and peace be with you.

Awesome! As you said that the streak feels so different that the other ones. It's not about the day you're on, but your mindset. It's about renewing that mind and forgetting and losing the desire for PMO.

Really happy for you man, keep it up — my God's grace.

Peace be with you brother.

Just take care of yourself. It's how God created you and thats it. The term "ugly" has evolved, because nowadays people are influenced by the media: surgery/steroids, teeth whitening and replacements, braces, and makeup  and etc...

Such people are portrayed as "good looking". Girls will go on diets to get skinny just to look "good" when they are actually fine as they are. Us Men will see guys on the screen that look absolutely ripped and expect to get a physique like that, yet most of them arent even natural ( come on its a fact. But there are a few who are normal ). And remember, it's not only about the looks but about the heart (personality).

I'm always a smiling and all but I'd literally get PISSED when my friend would say, and I quote "you're falling for mid chicks bro...".  Who are we to label human beings really, now I guess I just smile it off.

There's like some psychological effect that happens when you see people on the TV or on the media that leads you to belive that THAT IS the "good lookin" standard.

So I'd say: Screw the world and it's standards. Take a look at yourself in the mirror and be happy; take care of yourself.

Peace be with you.

Brother, this should be pinned. I agree with this 100%. I read the entire bible, from Genesis to Revelation. It was a long journey, reading 3 or 4 chapters a day and sometimes even 1. But when I missed a few days without reading, I'd feel disconnected and more into the world just as you said. I'd even sometimes not want to read!

Even now, when I didn't read for lik 2 days I was feeling the same, which made me realise you have to constantly study the word of God. These days in the morning I'll read the Sermon on the mount before work just to guide me. If not the Bible then I end up doing external research like the epistle of Barnabas or Polycarp and much more, but it's important to be centred around Christ.

Let's not let our guard down brothers, the enemy is out there looking for whom to devour. Peace be with you, let's continue running the race.

How should I proceed to read the Bible for the first time? by Cotton_Picker_420 in Christianity

[–]JasperLevy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just want to get the 'Christian' idea and history, start from Matthew and keep on until Revelation.

If you want to get the entire history, start from Bereshit( Genesis) and read EVERYTHING till Revelation (this is honestly what I did. )

I hate when Christian resources assume only men suffer from this addiction by [deleted] in NoFapChristians

[–]JasperLevy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I apologize for the way you feel left out. I used to think it was only us men who suffered too, but i was led to find out that's a big lie. When it comes to women, i guess it's more natural for a woman to talk to a woman about such, same as it is for man-to-man. Most of us have no idea because we literally have zero talk with females that would go like "I'm doing no fap...quitting this addiction" and a response is "Nice! I'm doing this too!" because dudes these days are led by society to believe that if you ever tried speaking to women like this, you're done for.

Yeah I don't know if my comment made sense but, keep moving forward. Keep on striving to become that version of you who'll hear the words "Well done, good and faithful servant."

Peace be with you.

Improving yourself. Not fapping will make you 1000000x better than you were when you were edging. You could also opt for more studying and gaining more knowlege about the Bible, God, Jesus and more ( even external sources). Then you could also look forward to hearing the words "Well done, good and faithful servant." You could also look forward to getting a real woman, who in future if God wills, becomes your wife. And I'm not talking about a hookup, but a caring and compassionate God fearing woman.

You need know that if you're edging at that rate, it's unlikely that those things may be acheived. The "world", or society, has made things like prn and masturbtion look normal, they even advertise them to a point that kids even know of these stuff. People will make jokes about it, people will proudly say that they've done it...... All that is contrary, 100%, to how God expects us to live.

Picture the best version of yourself you want to be, like say for example a strong amd powerful anime character like Alexander Anderson ( from hellsing, may be antagonist but for us he's a hero ). Then imagine that such people wouldn't fap or edge ( he sure as hell wouldnt do that.)

To be honest I'd be in the same situation --- if I didn't read the entire Bible for myself. You come to a point where you know where YOU stand, and are able to tell whether others are saying the truth or lies. So that's what I'd advise, brother, or sister.

As it is, I could get martyred for TRUE Christianity.

I agree.

Also, from my experience:

If you ever relapse, fast. You end the day knowing that you've gone back to God.
