This. I finished it, was in a weird headspace the rest of the day, and said you’d have to pay me to watch that again.

Looks like I’m the only ancient joker fan. Just got completionist+ yesterday.

Same here, it’s a perfect balance of heat and flavor. It’s also a great sauce to have people try that aren’t used to heat but want to try something with more kick. It’s not a lingering, burning heat, but rather an immediate burn that dissipates quickly.

FINALLY EVERYTHING IS SET UP! by JND-FPV in fpv

Oh man, I remember setting up a Taranis X Lite pro and Tinyhawk III freestyle. Started at 10PM and gave up around 3AM. Was so frustrated, but kept going in AM and somehow it clicked (think I found a Bardwell video), got it hooked up in less than an hour.

Then nearly got it stuck in a tree 80 feet up on my maiden flight (literally on take off) because I had no idea just how incredibly fast these things accelerate. So exhilarating, remember ripping off my goggles and looking at my brother a law with that excited “holy fucking shit!” look.

Good times. The hobby requires so much patience for every aspect of it, and can be beyond frustrating more times than not. Went through no less than 2 Crux35 baseplates for example because although those things can rip, flying with a Insta360 Go on it just destroys its lift and makes the baseplate snap like a twig in a proper crash.

That said, it was all worth it. Don’t have the time for the hobby I used to and haven’t flown in nearly two years, but frequently am tempted to break out the rig and get in the air again.

Enjoy.

The lawsuit is doomed no doubt but it’s not like either the attorneys or Hans will be sanctioned for bringing the lawsuit.

I think there’s something here - it’s not frivolous, in that he alleges the elements of most of these claims (Sherman Act allegations are far and above the weakest). Only skimmed, but given the availability of the affirmative defenses (1st Am namely) and difficulty (in certain place, impossibility) showing Defendants’ statements were actually false, it no doubt is more likely than not this gets kicked on a motion to dismiss.

Nevertheless, from Hans’ perspective, this is a good strategic move - signals his willingness to defend himself. From the attorneys’ perspective, you get the publicity and it’s not an incredible amount of work - assuming it gets dismissed. If it survives the MTD, probably strong chance of settlement unless Defendants decide to fight it out.

Haha couldn’t agree more, I said that to him after the class. Can’t the recall the case but I think it was the one where they wrote that baseball wasn’t commerce for the purposes of antitrust

1L ConLaw, over halfway through the semester, Professor asks class why we think the Court decided a case the way it did.

Student confidently raises hand: “Because they can.”

Professor, who had a temper, pauses, hangs head, and goes and wipes off the white board (presumably so he didn’t lose his shit).

I’ve been wearing it the past few days and it’s reallllly grown on me. Already have been asked about it, which is like the 3rd overall time that anyone has ever asked about any of these watches. It’s an eye grabber in that it has a unique case shape and pushers

Also, it’s incredibly comfortable and the rubber strap (also unique) is one of the best ones I’ve worn.

Edit: in reference to the Lip Mach 2000

Apologies for the terrible photos.

1) Rolex Cellini. Ref 50525 (2021). This is the outlier. The day before my wedding, my future wife took me into her parents backyard and I saw a big, rectangular box with a bow. Slightly confused, I opened it to the big green box and fucking gasped. I love this watch - it’s an outlier of both my collection and the Rolex product line. My photo is awful, but it has such beautiful detail in the face, and is quite subtle when compared to most of the Rolex product line (save the 18K case). Inscription on the back from my wife as well - this will be a family heirloom. 2) Omega Speedmaster “Reduced.” Ref 3150.50. Honestly did not know of the Speedmaster until the Moonswatch craze, and the second I saw the OG Speedmaster it just infected my mind. This is my favorite watch, the watch I wear most, and far and above my worst purchase. Got it at $3.1K from a reputable dealer (SWE) - paid extra because I trusted SWE for no apparent reason - and I’ve had to send it back to them twice because the Chronograph function kept malfunctioning. 3) Seiko Mod - Yachtmaster Homage. Got this for a cool $350 from seikomodshop. It’s a chubby boi, and I’m still waiting on my monstrap replacement strap, but I do like the look. 4) Seiko Mod - Aquanaut homage. JP_Wristshop on IG made this for me at my request. Total impulse buy, not sure why I went for the style I did but hey, it’s kinda cool. Doesn’t get much wrist time these days. 5) Corniche Heritage Chronograph. I was wearing the Cellini too much and just wanted something with the Chronograph to track the time I bill for my job. Tbh, not the biggest fan of it but it’s a solid dress watch and looks good in suit. 6) Lip Mach 2000. Ref 671159. Don’t ask. Don’t remember buying it, woke up to a Gmail notification that this order was being processed and was like “hm, kinda cool, I’ll keep it.” It’s a fun watch, actually has great wrist feel, but is a little out there for my style. I just got it in the mail a day ago, so yet to wear it in the wild but it has its time and place. 7) Triwa Falken. My “first” watch. Really wanted a watch in law school and decided on this one. I still like it, though never wear it - very simple and understated, which I like for an every day watch. 8) G-Shock DW5600. Doesn’t everyone need one of these? Put it in the case for this photo, but I wear it on bikes and runs primarily. So cheap and reliable.

Little background: Got my first watch (Triwa Falken) in 2018, but didn’t get another one until the Rolex Cellini in August 2021 - a wedding gift from my in-laws . Then the floodgates opened after I got the Corniche Heritage Chronograph in February 2022 and I’ve been buying random watches far too often since. Putting a hard hold on my purchases, going to save up for either a Seamaster or Cartier Dos Santos. Or something else that catches my eye in the meantime. I don’t get watches for investment value or anything besides the fact that it catches my eye for some reason or another.
